I absolutely love m83- nostalgia of '80's bands that were hard core synth musicians-like Front 242- DeadCanDance- New Order- Bronski Beat- ... I could go on :) As a 13 year old in 1982 until I was 20 in '89- these were the formative years of finding my own in music- I'm thrilled to hear a band like M83 mixing it all up in their own unique way-bringing tears to my eyes, as my heart skips a beat... I may be "grandma-age" at 49😂 but my soul is "forever young..." And so happy to hear the "kids" making music of their own, for my kids, for themselves, for us all...

In my perspective there are three meanings of this wonderful video. 1. There is always someone who is going to understand u (1:10 - 1:14) 2. You can encounter something really bad, but once you understand it and overcome your fear it becomes something that's awesome because u saw it as an oppurtunity to break down the problem (when they faced d ships and enjoyed the confetti) 3. Things don't happen in the same place (twice), hence the bricks moved into the town afterwards

This song and video reminds me of a high school Sunday School class picnic we went on in the early 70's. Oddly, the girls and guys were dressed much like in the video. I had a serious crush on a girl who looked a lot like the one who was focal point of this video. I never had the courage to approach her. We were throwing Frisbees instead of flying kites that day, but the vibe was much the same as the video. The setting ws in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains in South Carolina. Seeing this video hooks me back up with the special vibe I had that day back in 1971... it's truly incredible and the song just has a magical feel!

I totally get what you're saying. I remember being beautiful and young in New York City as well. I lived in Tompkins Square Park and the East River park with my boyfriend at the time. We were so young and free and beautiful and now im old and depressed. But when I hear that song, it brings me the feeling of nostalgia, though I've never listened to it during the era. It was 1996 1997 that we would come to New York every summer and just live outside. With no money, no clothes. Only the clothes we had on and lived free. That was the best time. Now he's dead and I'm old and fat. 51 years old and can never go back.

I remember first discovering this song. I was lying in bed at around 4AM, completely unable to sleep, and listening to M83's more well known album, Hurry Up We're Dreaming. Then autoplay put this on. I still remember that feeling. I can't really put it into words. The only words that would fit are deep, intense nostalgia, and a sense of yearning for days and people long gone from my life. Whenever I listen to this it's like being reminded of when you first truly fell in love and of the person you did that with, reminded of people I haven't seen in years but spent good days with, and the innocence and bliss of being a child and early teen. Things I, despite being only a young adult, will never be able to feel again. This song will forever remain in my canon of unforgettable and timeless music.

I listen to this song a lot (still) and when I do it just literally takes me to a whole nother world. It makes me feel so alive. I don't care how old this song gets it will always be a song I continue to listen to hopefully until the day I pass. I play it for my almost 2 yrs old daughter and she loves M83. I can't wait bc as she grows up I get to introduce her to amazing music and musicians like you all. Makes my heart so happy. Glad you guys are around making beautiful music. Thank you.
