I am a Maasai descendant and blessed to have lived in Maasai communities as a student and (Pastor)preaching the Word of God in the late 60s and early 70s. Maasai value their culture and Siangikiki( girls) are highly valued since they contribute many cows to the family as dowries - up to 100 or so cum donkeys! Girls get husbands even before birth as men do booking, if a girl is born is married to the fiancée and if a boy, there would be family ties between the two families! Hence any Maasai man can never never disown his daughter as some individuals have been airing it through different media outlets.

I am so lucky and glad that I got married to a beautiful educated Masai woman from this village. Duka Bovu is a Maasai village located in the Tanzania's northern city of Arusha. Though I am now living with her here in Japan but we plan to visit the country and the village again after next two years. Indeed thank you so much for your amazing footage.
