UPDATE: The lashes DID hold their curl nicely, and I didn't notice any flaking. There was a slight bit of smudging late in the day from what was applied to the lower lashline (in the future I just won't apply it there)... so overall it did well for my staying power needs!

I’ve never stopped using MAC. Over 20 years and MAC is still my o.g.! The powder foundation is my ultimate favorite. I’ve tried others and always come back. 95% of my lipsticks are MAC. It’s a brand that I know I can trust and always gravitate towards. Maybe it’s nostalgia or maybe it’s comfort; but either way, I still adore MAC!

I hope MAC is making a comeback! I think the fact that they don’t have new releases makes them get overlooked by younger people but the reason they don’t release new stuff often is because so much of their line is AMAZING and unique.

Yes, they have new releases! MAC glow play line is new and they just added lip balms. The Lusterglass lipstick line is new. They recently re formulated and relaunched the face and body foundation, and they have had some beautifully packaged eyeshadow/lipstick/blush launched last year!

Mac definitely isn't as huge for "young" KZbinrs but I don't think it's bc of their lack of releases, they do release a bit actually. Their glow play blushes are the most recent product of theirs I've heard hype for, fix+ is always popular, and face and body still has quite a lot of hype to it's name. I think it's honestly because they don't bring anything new or eye-catching to the table and imo aren't very unique, and most of the time their collections are quite forgettable and lackluster.

I still love Mac. Omega shadow for eyes and brows. woodwinked, naked lunch, I use all the time. Melba blush is a staple for me. Studio Fix plus powder foundation, and fix plus spray are always on hand too. Great video. You don’t look too matte at all. Very pretty result.

They have gone off radar on KZbin but I still buy and use MAC regualry. Just placed an order last month for a refill of Gigablack and Prolongwear Concealer. I love that concealer for its natural finish and medium-level coverage. It is not totally matte, but gives a nice almost dewy set look under there when I blend with a sponge. I love their Prep+Prime pen for the same reason but for even lighter coverage. Face And Body foundation is still my all time favorite. My Give Me Sun is almost empty. All of my Blushes get good use, and my LE Nutcracker highlighter in Tutu is starting to show pan. Their lipsticks are on constant rotation. Gigablack mascara I use every day. Oh, how could I forget their single eyeshadows!? Use still those regularly. The LE Extra Dimension in Stylishly Merry is one of my all time fave lid colors. 😍 They're just great staple products! I get so nostalgic whenever I see someone using MAC. Gotta try that mascara now!

I am a MAC girl since the late 90ties. I used to work as a model and all the artists used exclusivly MAC products (the brand was not available in Austria back then). Nowadays I use their concealer palette, the contouring palette, fix plus and some eyeshadows like Club or Shroom. Almost forgot, their prep and prime for lips which is really wonderful.

I have loved and used MAC Mineralize Skinfinish pressed powder for years and years. On my skin, it gives the perfect amount of smoothing, blurring, setting, and luster. Not glowy, not matte, not cakey, not sparkly...just the look of good, healthy skin.

Yes!!! I have yet to find a dupe for skinfinish!!! The closest thing (and an entirely different product imo) is bareminerals hydrating mineral veil.

I remember was the brand to get in the early 2000s when I was in high school, everyone used the brand and everyone had Studio fix. I've not used them in many many years so am glad to see them release some new stuff. I do like their liquid dazzle shadows and the Mac Fix plus which are firm favourites for me, although I no longer use their complexion stuff with so many other brands now,

Been using MAC for 30 years. I bought several of their brushes way back when and they lasted me for over 20 years. I still use Face and Body. Loved the Studio Fix powder for years. Also loved Strobe Cream and lots of individual eyeshadows.

First I really hope you feel better soon. I like that concealer on you. It blended in perfectly with your skin. I like older brands that have been around a long time and have a lot of science along with trials and errors in their portfolio 😛. I love the Mac Stack mascara in their micro brush size. I have smaller eyes and I find the smaller brush makes it easier to get all of my lashes without scraping my eyelid and getting mascara all over my lids. It’s awesome for the lower lashes. Does me more length than volume but it’s amazing! I also love it as a mascara topper for separating my lashes after using a volumizing mascara. 👌

Love MAC! I use Warm Soul all summer and keep a good stock of the eyeshadows. Every time I try something new, in my mind I compare it to MAC performance and staying power. I am definitely still a fan!

This was such a lovely video to watch as it brought back so many memories to me of loving MAC make-up! I remember discovering MAC back in 2007/2008 as Temptalia had posted about their limited edition Fafi range of paint pots. I got several of the paint pots and they were my go-to eyeshadow base for years! I use lots of brands now but I still have many MAC staples in my kit. Their Studio Fix Powder Foundation is one of my favourites and I have a little quad containing Ricepaper, Orb, Shroom and Brule which I use to highlight my browbone. I always enjoy their lipsticks and the new Love Me Liquid Lipsticks are incredible. They have a really interesting texture, as they feel slightly balm like on the lips but they still give the look of a liquid lip. They wear off to a stain as well and don't go patchy.

I have a few 9 pan MAC pallettes and 1 pallette called Pretty Princess which is a gorgeous cool toned pallette. I do like the Fix Plus with Gold Shimmer for summertime. The Glow Play blush is a great cream to powder formula.

Still love MAC. I worked freelance and even thou that wasn’t the best experience but I still love the makeup products especially the lipsticks. I probably have some that are older than my teenager but they still smell like heaven and look great, unlike most old lipsticks that turn into Crayola after a few years.

My first introduction to Mac was from a friend of mine who worked for them and did drag shows. He swore by the fix plus and the powder foundation. I loved it because I'm very fair and could get a shade match and getting your makeup to stay in the south in the summer is a real struggle.

Hi Emily the Mac F&B is one of my top two foundations and I wear it through the colder months all the time. I have very dry, mature, rosacea and eczema prone skin - it is moisturising, never looks cakey, can be built in areas for more coverage and lasts really well on me. It's not all that great with a mask though and for days with more mask wearing I use the Lancome teinte idole (less moisturising, but more long wear on my skin). I also use the Lancome more in the warmer months, as it's more humidity resistant. I live in Scotland, so it's rarely hot/humid and I can wear the Mac most of the year. it's good value at around£27 for 50mls (most foundations are 30mls) and just works really well for me. Whilst they're not everywhere on youtube the Mac counters are always really busy and they seem to be going strong still for most people. I like some of the lipsticks and other things, but the F&B is something I would repurchase immediately when it runs out. The extended shade range last year made it something I could use, as previously I couldn't get a shade match (I'm ultra pale and use shade C1). Best wishes.

Hi Emily, I was wondering if there is a right and a wrong way to hold the mascara wand. If it's bigger on one end and narrow on the other maybe it's the way you applied on your left eye because you are right handed. Your right eye application seemed a lot easier and you are holding the wand with the bigger end to the outside corner of your eye. Just a thought. Love the video Em!

Emily, I too have a few full palettes but I will continue to use them- just spritz with some alcohol and let them air dry…pigments don’t get bad and bacteria only likes humidity. If there is no color payoff then the powder products are for the archive.

I still have five 15-pan eyeshadow palettes full of MAC single eyeshadows, most of them purchased between 2004-2012. I still have all the OG colors in them that I don’t even know if they make now. I miss old MAC, was such exciting times when they would launch a makeup collection. My favorite was Temperature Rising, the sultry bronzey colors paired with the tropical purple-y lipsticks or nude lipsticks. MAC did collections so well. My most favorite recent collection came out in, I think, 2016. The It’s A Strike! collection. Omg. The neutral toned eyeshadows with the rich, plum burgundy and the shimmery lime green. The lipsticks were unreal, the matte red and the brownie plum color. Even the lip glosses. They killed it with that collection. Last year’s holiday eyeshadows, the duochromes, they did an excellent job with those.
