That's what QBs do buddy. What team is leading it's division now without a good QB? I'll help you, NONE. A coach helps to draft, develop and coach the player. And that's what BB did. But make no mistake, QB is the most important role in football. That takes nothing away from the coaches that can maintain well rounded team for their Franchise QB. Simple minded fans.

„The scene with O Brien was in the stadium much more intense. He stood for a minute in front of Mac Jones and was screaming at him. Then another player pulled O’Brien away from Mac Jones. After that, he sat beside him, and this was the scene on TV.

I know it was bad! Maybe they need a new offensive coordinator . That had to be embarrassing for Mac , bless his heart, maybe he has changed since he left BAMA , I don't know. But I believed in him nobody can deny his 1st year at new England was good he even played quarterback for the Pro bowl. And then I don't know what happened. I think mainly is to have had a strong offensive players and work together as a team. I mean look at CJ Stroud and the Texans on Saturday night game. I was blown away. Maybe it was Mac attitude. Like on the movie Remember the Titans. Attitude reflects leadership. .

For all you people who think this loss is on the coaching or the receivers, your dead wrong. This was a well prepared simple game plan to run run run in an attempt to control the clock. Even the pass plays were of simple design. When there was pressure Mac took the sack instead of forcing the ball into coverage. That was the coaching point. But when you can’t hit your check down back who’s wide open after your primary was covered it’s 100% on the QB. When you force the ball off your back foot while falling down it’s 100% on the QB. Mac is not a rookie. He constantly makes these mistakes. The only conclusion is that Mac Jones is not and NFL caliber QB. He has regressed and the Patriots need to release him immediately

That's an oversimplification of what's going on, though. How do you explain his first year going 10-7 with largely similar talent, but different coaching? What's changed? The talent hasn't changed, but their playing ability has. The Patriots have the league's worst wide receiver separation. That's not on Mac. Offensive line play has been bad. Not on Mac. I can agree that he is not playing well and may not be fit to run an NFL offense, but you have to look at this team and see how poorly they are playing in all phases of the game. Hell, they had two penalties on one special teams play last week or the week before. It's basically the worst case scenario every week, nothing is going right. Mac is just part of it.
@Phildakid06
@Phildakid06 5 ай бұрын
@@georgen5882have you ever wondered if the offensive line is playing poorly because of who the quarterback is? Often times offensive linemen don’t give their all if they don’t have faith in the quarterback. I’ve been saying this since year one, if Mac can’t or won’t throw to his check downs then he won’t be effective or efficient. No matter how far you can throw, if you can’t or won’t hit your hot or short routes then you become one dimensional and you’re definitely not going to win games. Being one dimensional makes the opposing defense’s job that much easier and that’s what Mac is doing.

@georgen5882 Sorry. The $85 million was the combined firing of both the coach and GM. My info came from an ESPN article written on November 4, 2023, by Adam Schefter. A Senior ESPN Sports Writer. Everyone must stop comparing this young man to Tom Brady, there is only one TB and he would not be the legend he is today if he had been improperly coached and ruined. People talk about Mac Jones' footwork etc and how he isn't seeing the field properly. His confidence has been severely eroded and when that happens the simplest task, the things that you normally see and do become distorted, your timing and vision is off even by a split second, your feet don't move properly, nothing works as it should. This is an issue of being improperly coached and lost confidence, confidence that can be found again in a new environment with proper coaching. Quarterbacks are thoroughbreds, they are sensitive and artistic as well as being good to great technicians.They need to be pushed hard and coached hard and they need to be nurtured and encouraged at the right moment. Mac Jones is a very good player and will overcome this and recover from this, I do believe that wholeheartedly. Stop comparing him to TB who is phenomenal on and off the field and who in his own words is tormented. We will never see the likes of Tom Brady again. Mac Jones has done his best to pick up the torch and this complete debacle, disaster and nightmare of a season is not his fault. It started last year when M. Patricia became the OC, how was that allowed to happen? To put a defensive coach in charge of the second year, a pivotal year in the development of a quarterback?? That has damaged his development and confidence. Tom Brady had Charlie Weiss and O'Brien, McDaniels and Belichick. I am not related to Mac Jones, I have never met him, never seen him in person. It makes me furious to see a person put in such a horrendous position that is no fault of his own and then he is compared to the very best of all time. I will always cheer for him and wish him the best and believe in him. Let him rest and maybe let him play in December and then do the right thing and send him to a team and coaching staff that can resume his proper development..

Mac Jones has always held the ball too long on pass plays, and throws off his back foot too much. But, that's what coaches are supposed to help fix... The Patriot coaches have been terrible this year - offense, defense, and special teams. The first time O'Brien was here, even Brady had an off year - only his greatness made up for it. Belichick could take average, solid players, and make them great - but, he had great coaches to help. I don't know what the mindset is there lately, but the talent there is not being used correctly - time for some serious coaching and staff changes. Some players may have to go, but no more mediocre drafts - open the wallet, and get quality talent - not retreads, and also-rans. Those days are over...
