What a beautiful piece of music. This man sings like music was intended to be sung..All words are audible and the instruments don't over power the voice. I pray this man will out last me so I can continue to listen to his songs.I would also like to thank the person who had the foresight to put such songs on this computer for the world to en joy and listen to.I could sit here all day an listen to them..

Mac sure put his stamp on this Hank Williams pinned song. Great Music.

Hank Williams did not write this song; Woody Guthrie's mother used to sing it to him when Woody was but a child. See Joe Klein's 1980 bio of Woody. Curious to know if Mac Wiseman was Jewish. Sounds like a Jewish name, doesn't it?

It just done on. me this is a song from the great H.W.

No. Woody Guthrie's mother used to sing it to Woody while he was still a young boy. It's from the 19th century. Hank did not write this song though he did perform it many times.

Mac is kinda like Burl Ives you stand back and look so that rugged face and hard working man and don’t hear until they open their mout
@steveroberts87195 жыл бұрын
Well done. But check out Woody Guthrie and Cisco Houston's cover. Still the best. Oh, and Ramblin' Jack Elliott with Maria Muldaur also perform this song well.
