Nice vid and great timing as I need to change mine soon. Only thing I’d add is that if your Macan has air suspension, the auto leveling system should be turned off prior to lifting the vehicle by turning the car on, then holding the suspension “down” button for like 10-15 seconds until you get a confirmation that auto-leveling is switched off. Once you’re done, the system can be switched back on using the same procedure.

Great video, is there a reason why rotors were replaced on this Macan? They looked perfect and I’m sure they are within wear spec.

The scanner is a must have if you DIY anything. For something like these brakes and even simple oil change reset it's a requirement. Im a have to buy one now!

i didnt see the brake pads, boot and bolts being coated with anti sieze or lubrication. We don't need to lubricate them?

Really nice video. I see that this Macan has the gray calipers. Can this brake rotors/pads set replace the PSCB's that typically come with the gray calipers on a 2021 Macan GTS without any issues?

Is it normally required to replace rotors when the Macan has only 28K miles?
@Flat6Motorsports2 жыл бұрын
It would depend on use. I’d see if there is a lip on the rotor to help gauge or consult a mechanic

should I add more fluid in brake reservoir when im replacing the lines to reduce chances of getting more air in the line?
@Flat6Motorsports2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you should always have a sufficient amount in the reservoir. You can also use a power bleeder with an independent reservoir for ease.

The clips and bolts are supposed to be single use aren't they? Also no sign of a torque wrench?
@Flat6Motorsports2 жыл бұрын
Porsche recommends replacing the caliper bolts but the bolts and clips can be reused. Any particular part you’re looking for a torque spec on? We don’t always show for the purpose of efficiency.
@ozziegt2 жыл бұрын
@@Flat6Motorsports thanks for the info. Looking for the torque for the front caliper bolts of a 2015 macan turbo. First problem seems to be getting the bolts off, they aren't budging with a breaker bar or an impact wrench
@Flat6Motorsports2 жыл бұрын
@@ozziegt Porsche calls for 30 NM and then a 90 degree turn. You can try some penetrating oil like PB Blaster and possible some heat to get them to back out unless they're too corroded or seized.
