Gustavo Rodriguez I did it. Just make a bootable ssd with windows on it (I used a desktop with a boot usb) and then take a SATA to usb c adapter and boot off of it. You’ll want to download apple support drivers

Hello, you should try and benchmark on different resolutions, and try to make a control test with 1080p. Testing almost 4k isnt that realistic for gaming in this machine.

You need to download the Windows Support image to a USB to compete the installation: Sound, etc. You need to download Mac Fan Control and Throttlestop to reduce CPU overclocking. You need to download the game optimized Radeon Driver from bootcampdrivers.com Red Driver 2. I can run Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition with the fan barely coming on. Don’t use setup.exe to install the video driver but run the exe with the RadeonSetup. I’ve also installed Assassins Creed: Oddessy, GTAV and Metro Exodus. Runs games better than my Dell gaming laptop. Feel free to ask any questions. Used High resolution

I get 90 FPS on many games (except for Farcry which is poorly optimized for the GPU). Also have Red Dead Redemption 2 installed. Ignore the naysayers, like that one video made by an older British dude who erased my comment because I disagreed with him about it being a good game machine. Using the optimized Radeon 5500 driver is key.

Found your video by mistake! I have the Maxed out 16". I also am running Windows 10 on an SSD and the ONE game that "crashes/misses pixels" is Modern Warfare. Which kinda sucks due to it's popularity etc but hopefully they will some time soon (now that is end of May 2020) fix the issue for us!

The audio issues also happened to me with iMac and external drive, the only solution I found is to install windows via the bootcamp app on the internal drive, then use a drive clone software (like wintousb) on windows to do a full copy of the partition to the external drive, fix the issue for me

actually considering the very high resolution of the 16" MBP and the mediocre performance of the RadeonPro 5300M, this performance is pretty darn incredible for a computer that isn't even built or designed for gaming. hell, its not even really designed to run windows.... i wonder how better the i9 16" runs games with its RadeonPro 5500M, could actually be a pretty solid computer for playing games on the side when you're not busy with work

You never play games at Maximum resolution. Turn down the resolution and test again. Will easily hit 60 FPS on every game.

Most of the time if you arent doing competitive gaming (competing in tournaments) and getting above 60 frames, its considered a pretty decent gaming experience. You dont need 144 hz to perform well in games, its not the game, its the player.

Bob Ross how I’d do it is I’d install on the hard drive of your Mac first use a program to then transfer that partition over to your eSSD. That way you don’t have any issues sometimes you can get some driver errors if you just install to the external

You have no sound because you booted UEFI version of windows..to fix it,slap windows ona disk and try to install the legacy version of windows..but i do think that after 2014 macintosh put a stop to the legacy install..i have a 2012 that i know it works on..so try the legacy disc version of wimdows
