Hey guys, here's a slightly new style video from me. I badly needed a new laptop and it was always gonna be an MBP, but which one? I was 100% set on getting the 14" but I made a last minute decision to get the 16" because, hey, I edit video! Let me know what you think of the video in the comments below.

I did exactly the same, I went with a 16 inch and I got at €200 student discount and a €150 gift card even though I’m not a student. The great thing is that here in Ireland they don’t verify if you’re a student So anyone can get student discount. I’m really glad I went with the 16 inch as the screen is amazing and the battery life

I love the review and the accent!!! Simple the best, no benchmarks or crazy stuff. I have order my macbook pro max m1, still waiting to arrive. I think 16" is the best size, 14 is too small.

I was initially going with the 14” to be modest and thought that would be sufficient but then I thought, go big and enjoy it to the fullest. Especially, after hearing about the battery life difference and cooling difference. I couldn’t be happier with the 16”

Great video Hugh - I think you have some nice orange and teal going on there? The MacBook Air 13inch M1 has been a workhorse for me. My next laptop though is likely to be the 16inch MacBook Pro.

Cheers Michael, yeah, I guess. But in a fairly natural way. It's easy to tweak a blue light into teal territory, then with the skin, it's a matter of removing some of the pinks. Do get one, they're a beast!

Hello, Thanks for the nice review. I have a question. Recently I bought M1pro 16inch. I noticed a problem and wanted to ask if you are experiencing the same. Scrolling safari or KZbin, using arrow keys is jittery and not smooth at all. However, scrolling using Trackpad and 2 fingers is nice. Please let me know Thanks

Excelente vídeo, parabéns! Infelizmente aqui no Brasil, um macbook pro M1 custa uma fortuna. De qualquer forma, pretendo adquirir com 16 polegadas porque sou um cara espaçoso e se necessário for, compro uma mochila maior para carregá-lo. Porém, provavelmente ficará 24hs numa mesa, então quanto maior, melhor nesse caso.

Got the same exact 16" configuration and space gray two months ago. Love it. Bigger battery, bigger screen for split windows work, and speakers than the 14" is enough in itself for me. Big babies say, oh it's too big, it's too heavy. They need to work out occasionally maybe? Clearly they're low T. I'm in CA been my whole life and yes, the politicians here have ruined the place. Likely permanently.

The 16 inch is hands down the best version out. I feel like the 14' Is over hyped just because it's the first 14'. Meanwhile we enjoying the view with booming speakers hehehe.

Hi David, the diffused cob type LED would be much better. Tubes are more for the background and fx as opposed to being a main light. The blue light on the left of my face is coming from a spot which is off camera.

DV resolve mostly. Plus Lightroom and all that. I bought Fcp years ago so will install on this for quick edits on the go.

Had a 14 and took it back and replaced with a 16. But for video, had to be a M1 max. For on the go, I got a MacBook Air M2. So the solution is having 2 ;)

I got the Studio and its working great, and this has the same spec. Not sure how much better the max would be for me. For now, this is a beast.

@@HuFilms if you’re comparing to anything prior to M1, yes, it’s a beast. I had purchased a 14inch pro (non max) as a travel laptop but it was so much slower than the max that I decided to get the m2 for travel. Slower than the max but much smaller than even the 14. They’re all good machines.
