While things are still far from good they're significantly better than before, even most of the detractors from the movement believe the cops who murdered Floyd are guilty. Back in '92 most white people openly supported the cops that beat Rodney King bc they didn't see a black man as human, with video evidence of police brutality (if you've never seen the footage I recommend it but warning it'll make you sick) so there's some progress and hopefully over the years it'll land in true equality
