What fun! I'm off to give this a try. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and talents, especially to those of us who have no other way to learn. I hope you know how much you are appreciated.

I figured out how to do this yesterday morning after thinking about it a while. That doesn't mean that someone else hasn't worked out the same method - or a better one. We are all learning from each other constantly. I try hard to either put up original stuff or give appropriate attribution. I do the videos to make machine knitting easier and more fun, especially for people who don't have a dealer or a club.

This would be a terrific idea for making hair for dolls, too! Thanks for your time in creating this video.

Years ago I purchased an Passap E6000, boy was I ever lost. I hadn't had any experience in knitting of any sort only knew I wanted to knit. What I had realized was that it was going to be work. I tried to take lessons from a lady in New Orleans, but unfortunately was so discouraged with the lack of knowledge I had, so I sold the machine, wish I hadn't now. I am years older, in a better frame of mind for the knitting. Have learned some basics of hand knitting. YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION!

You make really great videos. I've tried it out already. I just work with a brother 970. I'm just wonering if there is a way where you can knit the fringes directly on the garment?
@dianaknits3 жыл бұрын
I haven't come up with a way to do that with this particular fringe, since it has the twisting and the tuck stitch.

Do you know of any clubs in New Orleans, Lafayette or Baton Rouge of Louisiana. Would love to get to know some machine knitters and try to find a machine that I would feel comfortable with. My head is reeling with the desire to learn!
@dianaknits12 жыл бұрын
Well, no, I don't know of clubs in your area, but there may be some! The thing to do it go to Yahoo Groups and join some of the machine knitting lists. Then put up a note introducing yourself and say that you're looking for clubs and other knitters.

Whoa! I just saw your name, Pamela! I bought my Passap E6000 from you! Do you remember John and I? We drove down to Morgan City. I have loved that machine. Go to my blog & pick up my email. I'd love to catch up!
