@SandyMasquith5 ай бұрын
While I'm sure the petrol saws will match or probably exceed the battery platform, IMO the battery platforms excel at several points: less maintenance, no fuel cans, lighter weight and (perhaps most important) quieter. In my experience, being able to hear what's around you while you're felling or processing trees is a critical safety element. To that end, I will take a battery saw every time. And with this new beast of a saw, I think Milwaukee is definitely aiming for my business.

Crackin’ good video, James! All good comments and suggestions in here. These poorly designed ‘safety releases’ obviously conjured up by someone that does not use them! And Milwaukee CAN do better! I have an older corded angle grinder, with one of the best paddle switches of any grinder. My M18 Fuel grinder paddle switch not quite as good. Come on Milwaukee !!!! At the end of the day, whilst some of these saws can actually keep up or even beat a petrol powered saw, there is still no viable substitute for a proper gas saw! Taking extra batteries out in the woods, and in this case, many extra as it is dual battery design, is just impractical and inconvenient! Battery Tech will get there soon, but I don't think it is quite there yet? Close, very close, but not quite. 😊👍✌

The 12.0 is $250 normally. Now in Q4 of Home Depot sales you can buy a 12.0 and get an 8.0 free as long as you select it before your cart. That brings the total out to about $270. You can stack that deal if you wish, and you can return the 8.0s to the store, bringing the total down dramatically. Just don’t return it online. In store you’ll have no problems. The cost would be $138.89 for the 12.0 and $110.58 for the 8.0. If you stacked this twice and returned you would receive $220 back and have two 12.0s for $277. Forge batteries not H.O.
