i actually like this scenario cause in real life if seedlings or seeds get too cold they could be damaged beyond use there is of course a sweet spot for preservation but yeah anything below that could acutally do more harm then good

@@Logistical am really excited to see what they will do in frostpunk 2 and i hope they give us more replayablility options like maybe a procedureally generated map where you build your city on where the shape of the map and its recourses are different

@@Logistical of course scenarios are a must for frostpunk 2 so we have an expansion on the lore but for replayablility procedurally generated maps would be very welcome its something frostpunk 1 lacks in my opinion there's only so many times you can stare at the same set of maps before getting bored of how they look

Would be cool to have some things move over to a new save! Gameplay look very different though so unlikely :(

@@Logistical what if it would be like you could continue from a save but instead of having all of the stuff carried over it was some ruins you could find of your old cities that you could get stuff from.

Anyone else notice that the one poor engineer that got steped on never got a prosthetic, the notification of there being an amputatie was just sitting there. Poor lad Edit. Just got to the part where he puts in the order for one. Stoped to comment 2 minutes befor he done did what I commented about

You know what would be beyond epic, if the game was sequential one scenario after the other but happening at the same time and the choices you make reflect it, imagine a new manchester scenario where the automatons full of resources arrive and save you on the nick of time (or dont) and a post storm scenario where you manage all the cities at the same time trading resources and exchanging tech, maybe build train tracks and stations

This scenario is actually one of my fav ones (another one is On the edge), because it’s more unique and let you to focus more on the mechanic of automatons rather than any laws considering people. Also, there’s a theory that New Manchester is Winterhome’s survivors, so you’re basically able to save them for the second time. However, the only thing I would like to improve about The Arks is how long does it takes to end it up, because in my own opinion it’s kinda short

Yeah I do like this too as I usually never use automatons! Thats very cool too, Winterhome is such a difficult scenario so its nice there is a posibility we are saving them again! I do think the Arks is perfect length though, not as long as the main scenarios so good to dip into once in a while!

If I have a critisism,you are letting your scouts just sit in their destination for hours before you click on them,you are in a race against time and you kinda ignore your scouts,if you go on higher difficulty that's a big no.Other than that it's pretty good gameplay

I just finished this scenario today and saved both cities on a second try. I got so emotional and ended up tearing up while reading the texts on timelapse. Best scenario ever!

Nice one!! I remember have such a reaction to A New Hone the first time, that Timelapse at the end when you complete it is something else!

If you want a challenge try doing this on hard mode or similarly set the temperature difficulty on extreme. That alone force you to worry about upgrading the steam towel to level 4 & you have to think hard on which tech to prioritize researching or you have restart the mission/ or your auto save. That aside the seed ark is my favorite mission to play on frostpunk.

@@Logistical the only advice I can give you is to save certain days or points in your gameplay in case you mess up & to try to upgrade your scouting team so you can hurry up & get all steam cores as quickly as possible since that could delay your progress.

The workshops get a bonus if they are next to another workshop but not if there is a road in between them.

Love how all the Automatons walk directly straight back and fourth to their working places... And then there is just this one Automaton walking sideways downwards back to it's work place every time. XD "Don't worry, Geoff over there is just a bit special is all."

Keep people warm and this will go a long way to keep discontent down. Use the overdrive on the generator for free heat boost for a short amount of time

Randomly came across your channel, and been enjoying the frostpunk videos! I've noticed that you were wondering about doing extreme difficulty runs, in another video. I'll just go ahead and warn you that the difficulty change from normal to hard is already a pretty big jump, especially in terms of heat, and extreme is another big jump. Essentially, maybe do a test run beforehand to see if it feels feasible given your current knowledge of the game! I've also noticed you managed to rotate your buildings, which, uh, I never knew was even possible despite 100 hours into this game, ahah. May I ask how it's done? In exchange, know that you can select the speed of the game by pressing 1, 2 or 3, and that you can pause/unpause the game with spacebar. Much easier than using the mouse!

I have done a few extreme runs but never recorded it because I never complete! Saying that, I can do the Arks on extreme, but cant do the extra challeneges like saving new manchester. Oh to rotate, you can clikc the middle mouse scroll wheel :) and yes, i know 1,2, can chnage speed, but i like to use the mouse to give a bit of context on video as to when i speed things up and down, that and I always forget to use 1,2 and 3!

Rotate wasn't added until the On the Edge update. There is no in-game tutorial for it, so don't feel bad you didn't know.

49:36 U could have just delete that wrong placed steamhub when u builded that new one and im also right that u should not keep them running 24h when there is not that cold

Yes, you are right. If i set the city out a bit better there would be more steam hubs to only turn on during the day.

downloaded this game 3 days ago, completed the new home scenario yesterday, completed arks today. I am addicted. I felt like this scenario was shorter than new home and had lot less stuff to do. there was only one major story turnpoint which is new manchester and new home had londoners, faith vs order, and overall this scenario felt shorter. Didn't complete the manchester requirements but aside from those the scenario is very easy compared to new home.

Nice one! Yeah I would agree that this is easier. I would reccomened getting the last autumn as it is longer than a new home, on the edge is a bit lack lustre so could probably get it if like you said you are addicted lol
