I just had an idea/ theory about Lucy and Katniss. Let's say Snow did end up killing Lucy and when she got away she did ended up succumbing to her possible gunshot wounds. What if Katniss is the reincarnation of Lucy. She may not be similar to Lucy on black and white paper but she sort of has her spirit. Some things she does without even thinking about it that's just similar. I know this is asking you to believe and reincarnation and to be honest I don't even know what my stance is on reincarnation. I just have watched quite a few shows that reincarnation are aspects of them and so the idea just crossed my thought process just now.

Ok so basically the Ballard of songbirds and snakes is before Katniss was born and is about president snow in his younger years when he mentored a girl named lucy grey at the tenth annual hunger games. Hope this helps 😊

No, it does not. The book was written after the Hunger Games book. It's retconned.

That's not what a retcon is. A prequel is made to expand upon the original. A retcon is when you change things after the fact. Nothing in the original hunger games is changed by the prequel, the prequel just gives insight to what Snow's motivations were

@@04nbod What I meant is this video suggested Donald Sutherland playing Snow was thinking about Lusy Gray when filming his scene, which he wasn't. And as far as I know, in the Hunger Games books there's also no mention that Snow was reminiscing about his past with Lucy Gray at any point of the revolution unfolding.

What Snow is thinking about in this scene isn't articulated in The Hunger Games. Therefore its allowed them to inform it in the prequel. Snow has asked Katniss to make people believe she loves Peeta. His grandaughter believes it. That is as far as it goes in the original films. Now with the prequel his actions are more informed.@@soarq86

​@soarq86 are you stupid? The book followed katniss's perspective, why would the books have told us about what president Snow was thinking? The prequel gives you info that helps provide context for the later written stories. I'd you think president Snow didn't think one bit about his district 12 resident girlfriend who had long dark curly hair, loved mockingly, who was extremely rebellious when he thought about or saw katniss, you might just be a little slow
