I have been kiting on a Moto for a full season now.. and before that i had a switchblade. Yes i gave up some low end grunt.. (but I’m ok with that.. its not a make it or break it ) but the Moto feels so much more playful and lighter. Love the thing. Plus loved the comparison u did with the Drifter.. was a confusing issue for me .. but clear know... Thank You 🙏

I just updated from a 2014 ozone catalyst/enduro 12m to the 2020 Cabrinha Moto 12m. I had high expectations, thought about 6 years of innovations... It’s a easy kite with lower bar pressure yes. I watched a lot of reviews and all tell it’s faster but I can’t feel. I changed the steering lines to more direct settings and it’s better now. For me it feels very slow especially on the way up lost all line tension. Not easy to foil with it around 11 knots. The weight is with 3500g 500g more than the ozone one. Material feel very solid and it has battens ok good. With 15 knots Wind up, I like the Moto but less wind it climb too slow.

Great review! How is the Moto for big air and hangtime compared to the rest of the Cabrinha line up? Is there a big difference or are they rather small?

How's the drifter for big kiteloops?

big..? its not intended for that.. you might not even leave the water in the loop.. instead it will downloop you through a wave to help you pick up relative speed to the wave which you will need with big swell.. and get away from whitewash.

in fact if you're surfing big swell in the 5kn range and over, only a switchblade will have the grunt to power through that.. or rig your next size up Drifter..

Hey, good video 👍 For me as a beginner/advancing Kiteboarder ( doing some small jumps and try to ride directional boards), i wasn't really happy when i tried the moto... i had a chance to try the moto, naish triad + slash side to side and i didn't like the light bar pressure and i missed the low end, i just didn't feel comfortable. To bad i couldn't ride the drifter, it would be my type of kite i think.
