Macron holds hands with Brazilian president on Amazon trek

Just days after images of Emmanuel Macron in a T-shirt sparring with a punching bag were released, video has emerged of the French President posing in smart shoes and an impeccable white shirt in the Amazonian jungle.
Mr Macron kept up appearances as he sought a reset with Brazil in the first visit by a French head-of-state in 11 years, after spats with populist former president Jair Bolsonaro over environmental destruction and insults directed at his wife, Brigitte Macron.

After stopping in nearby French Guiana where he kept his suit and tie despite sweltering and humid conditions, the President kicked off the visit with the launch of a billion-euro Amazonian green investment plan alongside his counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in Belem, the northern host city of a major UN climate summit next year.
Mr Macron then dropped the jacket and tie to attend a public event with Lula (who opened an extra shirt button) on the jungle island of Combu.
In a good-natured press conference among the greenery, Mr Macron awarded tribal chief Raoni Metuktire with the Legion of Honour, the highest French distinction, for his role as an "international figure in the fight for the preservation of the Amazon rainforest and the culture of indigenous peoples”.

Maybe the world do not know the crises that the people of Brazil is experiencing right now. We have a government that has no popular support ( the international community can check it by looking in his public appearances trough this past year and compare it with the former president. I’m Brasil we have political prisoners, and people being persecuted by the supreme court that overpass the constitution and imprison people not respecting their fundamental rights. The mídia ( that has in the government its principal sponsor) neglect to show any of it and works more as a propaganda department of the Lula’s administration. It’s become more and more suspicious the results of the last election . And in dispare the government and the Supreme Court attacks its political enemy thrue the tvs in exchange for the Estate investment in government public related campaigns

Muito bom essa reconciliação entre essas essas duas nações democráticas, isso é diplomacia e parceria estratégica. Antes da segunda guerra mundial o Brasil era aliado direto da França, e depois passou a ser aliado dois EUA.
