Mad Max 2 and Terminator 2 are examples of where the Sequeal *WAS* better than the orginal! Oh and "Wez" (The scary mohican guy) was one of the best movie villians ever
@DennisMoore6642 жыл бұрын
Better is subjective. They were both very different sequels from the originals in part because the budgets were so much different. MM1 650K - MM2.2 million / T1 - 6.4 mil - T2 60-100 mil. I don't think anyone can argue that MM2 was superior to the original. But where T2 was all around bigger and had better effects than T1, we all knew it was going to be a summer blockbuster. T1 came out of nowhere and the suspense and horror in the original film, mixed with the pacing, actors and music - Kyle dreaming of the future, the Terminator during the shot out scene at the police station, or Sarah being targeted by the Terminator at the nightclub. For me, T1 is the best film of the franchise. And then there was the gun store scene ... "The Terminator: Phased plasma rifle in the 40 Watt range. Shopkeeper: Hey, just what you see, pal. The Terminator: The Uzi 9mm." ... I think the Terminator and Alien series are better franchises to compare the first movie to the second - both originals came from nowhere, were very different from their big budget action-packed sequel, and took the world by storm forever changing our futures. And damn straight about Wez - when he comes up over the hood and grabs the Feral Kid - HOLY CARP!
