Aren't the "physics based tackles" just "simulated by added animations"? They didn't actually add a physics based system in to Frostbite, its still dependent on animation branching, but instead of being pulled in to a "Tackle/break tackle" dice roll, now you have a 5 way roll for each of the pre impact, impact, and post impact animations, which is likely going to lead to some HILARIOUS results.

The unique running styles was one of my favorite additions in i believe Madden 2008 or 9 lol? I remember playing as the Cowboys because TO was in my book top 3 WR all time and hes always been one of my favorites to watch play.. Starting a game and seeing TO sprint down the sideline after a catch with long track and field strides just like he does in real life, it was amazing to see.. Everyone pretty much 1 of like 5 run styles before lol so it was such an improvement to the gameplay IMO, like Joe said, that adds a lot to the game making players actually feel like you're controlling them on the field in real life.. Reggie Bush's stride was also another unique one that stood out at the time, once they added that.. Just made it way more true to life and a simulation not a game.. I have NO CLUE how they always take things that worked away in future games smh.. Its a damn shame to see Pacheko run in 24 the same as Derrick Henry or any other back haha.. I can't wait to see how many unique running styles there are, im hoping that goes for route running as well with specific routes for guys Kupp or AR-14.. probably be a few player specific catches too and new throwing and pre snap style as well as drop backs for QBs will be cool to see Lamar not look like any other black qb in the league lol..

Visual concepts does not have exclusive rights to the NBA…other company’s can make them but they don’t want to compete with 2k so that’s less on 2k..same with San Diego studios and MLB the Show.

Joe, you are actually wrong about the blocking portion. The blocking update they talk about in Madden is ALSO in College Football. For example, If you look deeper into the video, it has the same audible blocking with full slides and half slides.

These games basically quick time event simulators. Outside of the initial inputs, the player has very little control over what happens, because the game has to select between a limited amount of animations based on each scenario. I've never felt less control over gameplay like with EA Football games.

I just want owner mode to come back. Setting concession prices, getting TV deals, and pay to add specific features built into your stadium was great. It felt like sim city mixed with madden. If you are good at the sim parts you get better players for the game play parts.
