Ha, ha! It's the shutter speed of the camera interacting with the PWM frequency of the dimmed LED lighting. Not visible to the eye. (This is similar to the way helicopter blades seem to move slowly on video while the eye sees them as a blur.) There. Now I've taken the romance out of it for you. 😁

I normally wouldn't respond to youtube videos so here it goes; I can't wait for self driving cars to arrive and be in mainstream use. This would mean much better safety for the driver, pedestrians and other road users. However, currently the tesla's aren't self driving and got a long way to go improving safety of the auto pilot system. My friend was hit by a car 3 months ago in a school zone by a driver. He didn't survive the hit. Seeing people like you and other car drivers use their phone (even your laptop?!) whilst driving enrages me. How is your single youtube video being 'on time' worth more than someones live Giaco? You are endangering and risking other people. I wouldn't care if it was only your life you were putting on the line, that's your choice. But driving a behemoth of 2000kgs of metal next to other people is as (if not more) dangerous as firing a gun. You wouldn't let a stranger babysit your kid, why would you let em drive a guaranteed dead on impact hunk of metal 1m next to them. That being said. Featuring you driving whilst uploading in this videos might be the worst thing you did. You can keep saying you are not an influencer and are not trying to tell people how stuff is done. But the very act of uploading a video to youtube gives you an influence on all people who watch it. Wether you want it or not, even if you say it is not. Please don't do this. People not doing this could have saved my friend.

You’re totally right but I’m just going to say that I wish all drivers were as good and as attentive as a Tesla. It’s not yet perfect but already better than the average driver by a factor of at least 7. I wouldn’t do it in city traffic but on a straight highway with 5 lanes I might as well sleep. Using you dead friend as a leverage for a not well informed comment is lame. The driver was definitely not a Tesla because unless he just jumped in front of it is impossible to be as quick as a Tesla to break in time. But with that said, I shouldn’t show it, you’re right about that. People is not ready.
