Im jelous of your skills haha. I actually just finished my best work by far. Wish i could post pics but i made a 14th century rondell dagger with wooden scabbard and leather frog. You should try a rondell super fun build high pay off.

Why are you hardening first and then grinding? It doesn't make sense. First you grind out the shape and the edge, then you forge it in oil, loosen it and sand it. I think you'll work yourself to death if you grind after hardening.

This is not wootz steel.. I have corrected you on multiple occasions…. This is just patterned welded steel…. Not Damascus and not wootz, wootz is watered steel

Impurities such as glass shards contribute to the final patterns. It's just for aesthetic purposes. I'm not a material scientist, but I don't think the addition of silicon dioxide makes the steel alloy any stronger
