There is something very satisfying in watching someone else cleaning and tidying and hoovering. Never tire of that. Natural greenery in a line in the middle of your table with the candlesticks would be beautiful on your lovely table.

It's lovely Maddie! I would suggest a small table with a lamp in the hallway, so that you can turn it on in the evening or on grey days without having the bright overhead lights..cosier. It's also nice to have it on when you come home...

The plant that you placed in the living room window appears to be a scented geranium. Remove brown or yellowing leaves & pinch back some of the long branches to consolidate the plant & encourage new bushier growth. The foraged greenery garlands are lovely!

🍫 For the under stairs nook, maybe some large baskets (or a cpl that fit under a table and lamp) to corral misc stuff that always end up hanging out in the hallway for a while ? You'll want the extra space one day for a stroller or something maybe, so i wldnt do anything permanent.

🍫Great idea to set a timer! Everything looks so cozy and festive. The mantle garland is wonderful!! A small lamp table under the stair would be perfect. Keeping a lamp lighted, should you need to come downstairs at night.

I would add a nice small table in the hall with a stack or row of books and a nice lamp. Maybe recycle the lamp from your bedroom where one is broken and then you can find a new set you like for the bedroom. Just an idea. I think it would look amazing. 🍫

The stray loose wire at the front spoils it. I think you should get a climber growing up to cover up that grey pipe - maybe a jasmine - white or virginia creeper. You have made such an effort and the fireplace looks superb. Garland on stairs perfect. Made me laugh battery boy and gardland girl. Bookcase under stairs cute.

🍫If that space behind the kitchen door is a dead corner, maybe a wicker hamper (or a small stack of them) for pretty storage? Put it on one of those rolling plant stands to move it out of the way for easy cleaning and to get into the storage that is under the stairs.

The fireplace looks great! We live somewhere that there is no place to forage so we go to the tree lots and ask for the parts that they trimmed off. Since they just throw them out they typically just give ‘‘em away 😊 I use them to make garlands around our front door and over the fireplace 🍫

Love all the extra pet love we get to see!!!! Your fuzzy babes are the cuuuuuuuuutest. Also I agree the fireplace garland looks best without the ribbon, makes the tree special having it just on the tree. Also that staircase garland really is amazing! Maybe if you have extra bits from the forraged material for another garland, you could try that hack I've seen going around for using a tension rod in a doorway or hallway type space with the garland wrapped around to add some decor to an unexpected area! But really you've done an amazing job already.

Roxy is such a sweet pup! I understand her reticence for walks. My parents have a cocker spaniel/shihtzu mix who started refusing to go on walks while her dog brother (schnauzer/dachshund mix) was always excited. My parents took her to the vet and found out she has arthritis in her back knees. Now she’s on a joint supplement and feeling much better, but still isn’t a fan of walks every day. But that’s okay. She doesn’t have to take her creaky old knees on a walk if she doesn’t want to.
