Something like 20 seconds counts as a stream on Spotify. If you take that amount of time to skip a song, too late. It’s already counted. The algorithm grades on a curve, I think, because there are tones of artists and songs that I listen to quite a bit and they never show up in my wrap up. I like the feature. It’s fun. But it’s definitely not representative of all I’m listening to. When it documents that you’ve listened to nearly a thousand artists but they highlight only a handful …. Well …. That’s a bit dodgy. I enjoy Spotify, but the algorithm drives me a little bonkers. I’m horrible with names so I struggle to think of that song or that artist that I want to hear so I’ll pick an era or genre they are categorized in but the algorithm keeps spitting out the same songs by the same artists in that era/genre all the time. Ah, well … first world problems for sure lol. I’m not a Swiftie by any stretch of the imagination but I chuckled because I do like Posty and as a consequence, “Fortnight” is the only Taylor song I ever listen to. To be honest, I think it was the video that sold me on that song. Such a mood. Alex cracks me up. One of my favourite parts of your vlogmas is that we see and hear more from him. You have an enjoyable dynamic together. Also, haven’t said as yet (I’m usually knitting whilst I watch so my hands are usually too busy to type out a comment) but the opening for this year’s vlogmas is beautiful. Nailed it. ❤
