She has worked so hard and with rock hard ambition and determination she has become not only the biggest star of her time but also an important historical figure of the 20th and early 21st century. In 200 years school children will learn about her in history class no doubt, in someway or another. She is one of the most significant women of our times, possibly thee most significant

lol...man, her fans really get carried away. I've seen Madonna in several interviews thru the years, and this is one where she seems especially together, focused, no stupid fake accents, not too pretentious, etc. Plus she's young and beautiful. I mean, I tend to hate her music, and if we're being honest with ourselves, she simply can't act, but you can see right here why she's a star.

As soon as Evita debuted on stage in the 70's it went into pre-production with just every director and big star (Barbra Streisand, Liza Minelli, Meryl Streep) attached at some point but all attempts just fizzled out. Michelle Pfeiffer gor the role but got pregnant and had to drop out. Alan Parker didn't have much faith in Madonna and so the 10-page letter she wrote him basically convinced him that she could play the part and would concentrate only on the film whilst shooting.

But first ..she goes out to get "voice lessons"...turns her shows into corney Broadway like productions..begins to believe that she can pen tunes with the limited musicianship she possessed...become an actor...become a director...write books..be a diplomat....o h b r o t h e r.
