Great tutorial: I don’t journal, I don’t scrapbook, I don’t need clusters or ephemera… but I want these so badly!! These are the sort of things I enjoy making - just for the sake of being crafty and creative. Many thanks!

Make them for a cardmaker friend, or add them to your own ready made cards interiors, or donate them to an assisted living group that makes cards. That way you still have craft fun and frugal fun if you buy supplies at a thrift store.

I had so much fun making these yesterday. I cut them apart with my deckle scissors before I sewed them. I'm not as adventurous as you are. They turned out great and I loved making them. I hope to make more soon. They are fabulous for my junk journal. Thanks!

Yes! Watch the words! Some books are "safer" to use than others. You can always use gesso or paint to cover up something. I love these cute little clusters! Could do different things/shapes on another "set." What a great stash item! Hugs! Peggy

After getting background and text down, i give my 12x12 a quarter turn. Gives me a different perspective moving forward. I also thinks it helps me from over-thinking thus keep the creative process moving. Love your content my friend ❤️

Is that a washing machine or dishwasher in the background? It's actually very soothing! For the splattering, you can try tapping the handle against a finger of the other hand over your object. That knocks off the paint with fair control. Lovely video with great results.

These are cute! If you wait to sew the clusters individually after tearing, you don’t have the issue of having to snip your threads, but it depends on the look you want. TFS 😃

These are wonderful! I think I would make the messy thread nest on the cluster when you go to sew it the first time. Let the threads hang off, don't cut them. It really adds interest and texture. Just a suggestion. I'm gonna do that with mine. And you could call this process Making a Master Sheet of Ephemera Cluster Bases! This was awesome! Thank you!

I've been "junk" journaling for about 3 weeks now. Still haven't gotten the hang of it yet lol, but I'm trying. I've coffee dyed many sheets of paper and now its got my room smelling like burnt coffee 😂 How do I get it to not have the smell or is that normal?
@MadPaperCrush10 ай бұрын
I’m so glad you are doing some junk journaling! As for the coffee smell, it is common. I would suggest modifying your coffee mixture to see if that helps (less coffee!), or you could try tea dying instead!
@kpoppaen875110 ай бұрын
@@MadPaperCrush ty hun! I actually did a few papers tonight with tea and letting them dry overnight instead of putting them in the oven to see how that does. Crossing my fingers! Hehe! 🥰
