I’ve had my renzetti travel vise for 24 years. Still tie 99% of my flies on it. It’s traveled around the world and been responsible for many different species of fish. From yellowtail in New Zealand to cobia in South Carolina it’s always served me well!

@@Madriveroutfitters oh no worries! I was looking at picking up a new one. I fished a cobia tournament over the weekend and mine got fully submerged a few times when we had water in the skiff. It still works but it’s definitely seen better days! Was looking to see what all has been changed over the years. My father bought me the one I’ve had when I was 17 and first started traveling fly fishing. Now I’m 41 and still using the same vise on the deck of the boat or in lodges as I travel. I’m going to retire this one to the bench and get a new one for traveling.

Got a cheap vise last month and instantly knew this was gonna be my new obsession. So I just ordered one of these and I can’t wait. If your reading this wondering if it’s really that big a difference I assure you that it is.

Why don’t anyone talk about it being right or left handed, and no one has left handed models.
@Madriveroutfitters Жыл бұрын
Check our website for left handed models. They are there. Call or e-mail the shop with any questions. Thanks.
Well....we sell around 4-6 a day so it is affordable for someone out there. Just because it's not for you doesn't mean that we are smoking crack and entitle you to make a really stupid and useless comment. You'll be really offended when we review the Master Vise at $900.00. Which we sell a few of per month. Stay tuned for that !
@waltersmith61004 жыл бұрын
If you think this isn't affordable then you haven't looked at ANY rotating vises, or any vises for that matter. There are many BASIC, NON-ADJUSTABLE ones out there that are FAR more expensive. Or maybe you simply like to bitch about EVERYTHING?

The Renzetti Traveler is an outstanding vice. I used one for many years without any issues. It is very well built and a precision instrument with high quality built in. It's also made in USA and the folks at Renzetti are just awesome to work with. Have been tying flies since I was 12 years old with a vice made from one of my Mom's spring loaded clothes pins and a jackscrew. And yes it actually worked (but was difficult LOL)! I had no choice because at that age I had no money. Things have come a long way and I now use a Renzetti Master vice. Now I am almost 70 years old. My Traveler tied thousands of flies and the Master even more. You get what you pay for with Renzetti. The resale of one is also very very high if you want to sell it to upgrade to a more versatile vice.

Price is not bad at all

It is a very good vise for a fair price and NOT an excellent vise at an affordable price in my opinion! Vises nowadays are anywhere 25 to 50% more expensive than just a couple of years ago.
