Great example of breaking some "RULES" of photography. Placing the castle and horizon in the center of the photograph, along with the movement of the clouds, brings a very nice dynamic to the shot. Well done...

I just don't understand why anyone gives these videos a thumbs-down. The videos are wonderful. Very professionally done and the photos are amazing. And I really appreciate the instructions on getting to places and when to be there. Other KZbinrs don't usually do that and it is very helpful. I'm considering a UK trip and your videos are great for planning purposes. Thanks Mads!

I "popped my Scotland landscape photography cherry" back in February. My first trip outside of Wales. I only had four days, so tried to fit in as much as I could - Glencoe, Glenfinnan, Loch Ness, Skye, and the Commando Monument. It was all a bit rushed so while I got some pics I was quite happy with, I couldn't afford to wait around for the best light. I'll definitely be heading back there as soon as I can.

It was very interesting to watch the time lapse - a wonderful demonstration of how the light shifts and how you jump into the slot with the right light. The fast moving light can be very frustrating! A beautiful image of the silver birch too. My favourite in this video is the last one - 15:20 - moody, eerie, very Bronte-like.

Another beautiful video Mads. A good introduction to popular well connected locations. Weather is everything here, so be responsive to it if you are staying and not passing through. Another epic video Mads! After watching all your videos over and over, I've finally bought a proper DSLR (got an insane deal on a new-old-stock Nikon D610) to step my photo game up a notch... I had been taking all my pictures with a cellphone camera that couldn't be shot in manual (and could only shoot JPEGs), I'm pretty excited to start exploring again and photograph more (in a few weeks... as I'm finishing my master's degree in physical therapy)! Also, I can totally relate, when you say that you have to adjust when life gives you lemons, I feel that everytime I've went out exploring in (expectedly, sub)optimal conditions... I ended up being much more spontaneous and creative, which resulted in my favourite photos of mine so far. Really looking forward to the episode on the Isle of Skye! Cheers! :)
