Magda vs Ishai & Tevesh vs Raffine Scheming Seer vs Najeela cEDH Gameplay

We have some new commanders going to war again! In this battle mons is playing Magda the mono red dwarf tribal commander that won the marshesa tournament. I would like to give a shout out to Koibito that won the entire tournament!
Anis is playing the new Esper commander Raffine Scheming seer. Pontus is playing Tevesh and Ishai and Jordan is playing his Najeela midrange deck! I hope you like it.

I agree on the early tangle wire play. You could've tapped the dwarves to it anyway to gain treasures.

Just a small detail, activating Najeela ability would not untap tymna and Najeela, they were not attacking, they were tapped because of tangle wire.

That Magda deck is extremely powerful if well brewed. The potential of it is astonishing. Nowadays red cards and decks have a huge power. Love the mono red storm Birgi and now this insane Magda...

Great game! I was super excited to see both Magda and Raffine. You are also not bad at cedh! I was thinking of making a Raffine/Doomsday list that plays like Yuriko Pivot, except with hatebears. The spoiler for Ledger Shredder seems like a definite include. One point about the Raffine/Mausoleum Wanderer interaction in this game; Connive lets you draw X and discard X where X is the number of attacking creatures. However, the +1/+1 counters are placed for every nonland card discarded from that X, so the discarding Gemstone Caverns would not add a counter. I don’t think it changed any outcome of the game, but it’s just a small point.

Any thoughts on casting tangle wire instead of holding up tibalts trickery as tapping to tangle wire on your up keep still brought you up to 5 treasures and you could of cast metalic mimic from hand and combod off the round earlier?

@7:18 Masoleum Wandered got two counters for connive X=2 because Wanderer and Raffine attacked. However, Raffine only applies counters to a target if the cards discarded were non-land discarded this way, and the player had discarded a gemstone caverns. Just pointing that out since everyone forgets about the land stipulation.

I have one dwarf for you mons... "Dwarven Lieutenant", it bloats target dwarf +1 +0 for only one colorless and one red mana. He is a wincon with infinite mana. This Magda deck is insane xD

At 6:30 there is a small misplay, Rafinne add +1/+1 counters for each nonland card so maosoleum wanderer should have recieved only one on that atack, nothing on the game would change because of it tho

4:55 thoughts about blocking najeela with the random dwarf? Or did you feel like he's just gonna recast najeela the turn after, or dis like the 1 mana deficit (hmm i guess it does slow down 5 treasure breakpoint a bunch)

if no tangle you should protect your jeska's will it's better to get 7 mana + dump your hand + 3 Cards than a late tangle with a too big najeela board

Because he wasn't tapping it for mana, so wasn't taking dmg to it. Also it only produces 2 colours instead of any so is the better rock to tap before the signet.

I have played and seen equally, if not worse, scuffed games. This was in the end, from my point of view, a completely unavoidable outcome for the win to fall to the Najeela deck, just due to the pressure she provided throughout.

To put it in a really strict sense, it's also the fault of all your opponents for not maintaining the game state. It's literally in Magic's tournament rules that your opponents are also responsible in maintaining the game state, which means that they also need to make sure you properly create the swan token. The interesting thing is that this is a multiplayer setting, so the other 2 opponents not making sure you had a swan token resulted in them losing too!
