Thank you for posting this video. My Magic Chef compact dryer was delivered today. The instructions were, rotate the filter until you hear a “bump” then pull outward. I came to KZbin because someone always posts better instructions.

Thanks so much for your video review. I just purchased the MC 1.5 Portable Dryer, I check the filter every time I finish drying items and a couple times I couldn't remember the correct way to put the filter together. This is great, very helpful video.

The OEM filters are $16.99 plus tax for ONE filter. On Amazon you can buy a bunch for between $16-$20. I found some felt sheets at St Michaels for 50 cents. Yes 50 cents and cut them to size. It took me all of 5 minutes. All I needed was a pair of scissors, an ink pen to mark a circular outline and cut to size. Viola, looks just like the original.

Help me please my filter holder when clothes are drying comes out and sometimes it doesn’t stay where supposed to be I try to look another replacement but I can’t find it I don’t know if needs to be replaced or what it could be the problem

Clean your lint filter with a clean dry wash cloth. Flat surface flip lint filter do the same.........

I have this dryer and I put the filter between the two pieces of plastic. Not on the outside of the screen like that.

Brenda, your way does seem to make more sense, however, this video is correct. This is how it says to do it in the manual. Also this is how it was assembled in the factory. Hope that clears it up.

Is this filter replaceable? My "broke" ( I guess), it just keeps falling off and falling off the back of the dryer 3 or 4 times during 1 cycle and it's making me nuts. I can't seem to find one anywhere, and keep getting directed to the paper /fiber filter which is NOT what I need.

Is this what a clean filter unit looks like? Cuz mine has all these parts but then between the front cover and the and the back piece there are 4 soft "pads" that fit in each of the 4 sections... Are those actually filters or is it dust/lint build up? I ask because my home I just recently bought came with this dryer so I'm trying to figure out all the parts to it.
