That first card can also be used in a pinch to save one of your attacks from becoming a blowout if opponent has a trick. And you would get the life gain. I wouldn't hate having one in any white combo.

I’m not sure I see the vision. If you’re using it on your own attacker you’re still getting your creature removed and going down a card which is still a blowout, no?

@@snakes4life714 no, they are in prerelease, when prices are completely random nonsense. Valgavoth was $50 before duskmourn released. now he's less than $20 Condemn sees plays nowhere. it's not going to be 15

@ special versions of cards that already exist don’t go down a lot. Valgovoth was a new card and everyone thought it was busted. New cards go down old ones don’t. For example, the red dragon from the new set is 25$ it will go down. But, the day of judgment isn’t going to go down because people have played with it before and they know it’s good

It's going to be infuriating in Limited because it's rare enough that you wouldn't expect to ever see it, and the way it works you won't know it's coming until it hits. Unless you're the one who gets it.

I think I’d give Memorial a B+. It’s not quite a bomb because it asks you to have a board, but it’s colorless so I can’t imagine a deck that wouldn’t run it if you end up seeing it in draft. The only thing I’d take over it in a pack is an actual bomb.

Remember, UB is becoming legal in all formats to reduce confusion for non-players, but none of these “special guests” in the set designed as the basis of Standard going forward are Standard-legal.

The word I'd use for these guests is "underwhelming." A few are cool but if I pulled most of them I'd just shrug "meh".

You really think Paradise Druid is better than BloomTender? Tender can create mana for each color among permanents you control but you mentioned it producing two later in the game. Did you read it wrong or am I missing something? I like both but Bloom is in a different league altogether imo

Most limited decks are 2 colors, thus bloom is only going to tap for 2, 3 if you splash but only if you can already get a permanent of that color in play, where paradise can't be bolted before you make mana, can help you cast things in a color you couldn't with the lands you drew and is a better blocker
