From being unable to transform MSB46E at all...to a "regular MSB46" that's riddled with QC issues but it's transformable. Ouch...guess it's time for me to hop into the QC Roulette...but for which one?? This reissue of "regular 46" has all the bells and whistles (makes sense considering that NewAge Megatron has all the bells and whistles), but 46E is cheaper in price and apparently better build quality. (That being said, I kinda wish this would've came out like on August 1st...)

Yea unfortunately this figure either way is a Russian roulette, I mean this release at least has everything you need, hands, trailer, roller, etc. AND the issues can be fixed with a little custom work. But I really do not enjoy playing with the figure, it's just not built as well as 46E. This time around it's really up to the viewer to make a choice. I wouldn't buy this from any American retailers though cause it is in no way shape or form worth more than the 79.99 shipped Show.z has the figure listed for. If the trailer isn't a big deal go with 46E and have a BEAUTIFUL bot mode for your display. Thanks for watching and the chat.

@@billythekidstoyreviewchannel ...and they wonder why some folks prefer that wonky NewAge Optimus more. Not me, though...QC aside, I think Magic Square's got'em beat here. So, I pulled the trigger on the regular MSB46...I'd hate to try to wait it out a bit only for it to sell out and seemingly disappear from existence.

@@DragoonMS Yeah, I'm with you. the Newage is made better, but the engineering and look of the MS is just superior, no way that can be denied. I hope you get a great copy!

If I get a slow down from work this weekend I will. it's a simple arm and head swap, leaves him looking like he jumped off the screen in bot mode. Vehicle mode too lol! Thank you for the kind words.

Billy the Kid Excellent review. Very thorough and I'm glad you incorporated a previous prime for comparison. I like the Alt mode very, very, faithful to the G1 mode, my favorite of all Primes in that mode. I'm a bigger fan of the previous Prime from MS with the non translucent windshield in Bot mode but either way both I consider to be above all other Legends manufacturer versions. I agree with you on MS's QC issues and all the flashing it sucks. Billy that one accessory at the beginning that you didn't know what it was for is the peg that connects to MS Huffer so he can pull Prime's trailer. From the episode where Megs cheated and gave Prime the business afterwards Prime could barely transform so Huffer offered and hauled his trailer for him. Great job my friend looking forward to the next review, and Happy Belated B-day great gifts.

If MS would just get their act together in regards to their QC I would happily be all in on their offerings, but at this point I've learned if I didn't get in on the original release then don't get in at all. which is a real shame because they offer beautiful designs and engineering. Which one feels better in hand? MS or Newage?

That's a tough question. Newage has the harder plastic and premium paint to it, it feels like a masterpiece in hand, however the magic square has tighter joints and since there is minimal paint doesn't chip from multiple transformations. I ultimately sold my Newage version and bought a second Magic Square as a deskbot at work. Thanks for watching and I hope my input helps
