Hey buddy ... it's Chef Anton. Thanks so much for taking the time to review my act and make such positive comments. Normally I have to pay people to say such nice things. My expertise for Hustling spans many arenas but specifically here I was referring to "Billiard Brainteasers or Bar Bets you so on a pool table". In fact, I sell a book and DVD called The Pool Hustler's Handbook which teaches 50 of them If you would ever like to do a video chat or teaching podcast of some sort, I love teaching magic. More importantly, as you see Fein my act, I am a big believer in character development, through lines, motivation of props and patter, as well as the cohesion of tricks and consistency of character alignment. And yes, I perform regularly at the Magic Castle in both Close-Up and Stage Magic and maintain my consistency of character on each room. If you look up my Card on Forehead as well as Balls Over Head you'll see my unique twists on these classic tricks that solves common problems. My KZbin is MrChefAnton and would love to share thoughts and insights with you Keep up the gr8 work. (Yup even using pool consistency in my closing line) Happy Hustling Chef Anton

Hey :) Nice of you to stop by, appreciate it. That is awesome, I would totally be down to jam, maybe rack your brain about a couple of things here and there. Love your work, the amount of effort you put into your routines definitely shows. I hate the youtube PM system I never use it, maybe throw me your contacts at eduardtodormagic@gmail.com and we can sort a time out :)

Let me comment on TIMING ...... TIMING is everything in music, public relations, to a chick or have a cop let you off .. Land a job, it is all in the cadence... the fluidity the 1234 - 2234 - 3234 thinking in terms of rhythm, pauses and cadence. This guy was impeccable. Not one word was ad libbed , over or under emphasized. It is all in the level of comfort you give the audience. I give two shits P&T knew the trick .. the fluidity was a perfect sine wave. Like someone trying to hypnotise you . Deliberate well enunciated words. Now this is a perfect example of a rythmic chat. On the other hand.. That guy SankeyMagic . NOT a clue as to what rhythm is , stutters , wants to say 5 words at once, his volume goes up and down , over modulates syllables all around . a SHIT performer and all because he never paid attention to the power of clean communication. He sounds like he's on speed and everything MUST be said in one breath. I was delighted when P&T just nailed him regardless his braggadocio that he invents all his routines. Yeah and maybe THAT is all you are good for , cause presentation , speech , clarity volume and balance .... he is a disaster. Notice the voice of Criss Angel, Dynamo & David Blaine . Ever heard this guy sspitting when he tries to tell the world what a GREAT fucking trick he just invented.?

Hustling in pool is the art of being very good but being able to play as if youre not, which in itself takes a lot of practice once one has become great. You appear to be not that great when you first start playing, start gambling low stakes...lose 2 or 3 then suggest you up the stakes like to get your money back. They think they have a pigeon on the hook so they agree and then you win, but not blatantly.

To hustle in pool, you fake it like you suck at first. Lose a couple small bets and then get them when they think they are better, and they will bet more. It doesn't go over well these days though.

I mean this in a nice way, but I'm surprised you haven't heard of pool hustling. Broadly it just means making money by playing pool for money, but it often involves tricking people so they underestimate your ability. E.g., pretend to be drunk, lose some matches to a friend or lose some small-dollar bets. Once there's real money on the line, you win-possibly by pulling off some lucky shots so you don't tip everybody that you're a hustler. There's a famous movie called _The Hustler_ with Paul Newman. It's deservedly a classic film-though some find it boring.

Also you hustle in pool by pretending to not be very good and playing for like 5 bucks, losing badly, and then go double or nothing and take their money. Someone like Anton probably can almost always sink every ball off the first turn

Had to laugh at the "how can you hustle at pool?" thing, the very first time i learned about hustlers was pool. I'm sure someone else said it, but you pretend you're bad, lose a small bet, then go again for more money and kick their ass. oldest trick in the book.

You should do that beginning trick like the Chris Pratt version on Graham Nortan show . I know it's called something I can't remember the name. Since this trick was short it was easy to see the 4 card trick in the end even though i am not a magician .The longer version would distract the mind :D. I hope I didn't reveal too much. Also you can react to that Criss Pratt video. Keep up the good work.

Hustling is an art. In pool you’re better. You lose a few game intentionally to a decent or ideally good player. It builds their confidence and the amt of $ they pony up. It’s a real common thing in the US especially back east

A Pool Hustler at First comes off as a terrible pool player. Then once he lures his mark into a game of pool, for money, he may let them win the first or few games until the bets get rather larger where then, miraculously, turns into the worlds best pool player taking all the marks money. This same practice would apply to others as well, card cheats, etc.

Dude the pass is great however don't use it to over prove the shuffles. The first time it looks like nothing is happened but the spectator can identify the pattern the second or the third time if you repeat the move. In a real performance i am sure you can get away with it by directing the attention away from the cards during the pass, but on camera i think the pass should only be done if there are no other options.

Eduard ... there's one question, I have. I've kind of accepted that I can get fooled again and again. Even if I can reason to what the method would need to involve it seems just impossible that anyone can do that. But some times I notice things ... like in the trick you started with. "Is any of these 4 cards your card?" .... and you only show 3 of them. I think the 10 of clubs even showed for a brief moment before you did it. So the question is: If someone pauses you after the "Is any of these 4 cards your card?" and say: "Oh.. I didn't pay attention, let me see them again". How on earth do you avoid these moments where the viewer doesn't behave like he/she is supposed to? ... and even worse. Don't you constantly risk revealing the method in such a situation? I mean ... even the best trick, with the most clever method. Doing a crucial error while performing it on national TV would not just ruin it for that performance, but forever. I mean... some things you just can't work around with multiple outs.

The opening trick's awesome. I think that's the first trick most kids learn. I was doing it in about 3rd grade. But oh boy you flashed that 10 big time. LOL Whenever I think of pool hustling I think about losing a few games to make the other guy feel confident and when the real money's on the table then you pull out your moves and take them for all they've got. There are lots of good movies on the subject. Too, there's the bets. Regardless, that performance was really entertaining. I agree, one of the best performances ever on Fool Us and demonstrates the value of presentation. If you're interested in some cool pool bets I know Brushwood and Ferguson have a few tutorials. As for the appearing cane, those are so much fun. I was wondering if he was going to actually use it to play pool and if so that would have been crazy impressive. But it sounded like an appearing cane (they're really loud) so I just assumed he was lying about it being a $1,200 pool cue. Magicians never lie, right? Ramsay showed one on his channel a while back so I had to order one. It took a few months to arrive from China (ordered from Amazon) but it's great. Freaking dangerous though. Those pop out so fast you could easily take an eye out or break a window. And the bottom of the one I got was so sharp I cut my hand badly first first couple times I used it until I figured it out. There were no instructions at all, or even warnings. But it's crazy fun and absolutely not recommended for kids. Then there's the sticker question, why use a sticker when you can have the card signed? I think there may be a practical reason for this. Perhaps he's a great pool guy, not a very good card guy and wants an edge when it comes to getting the card so he uses it for a breather.

In America, the term "hustler" is used both as an affirmative comment, like "that dude/gal is a real hustler", Implying that they are real go-getters, working hard, etc. It's also sometimes used as a semi-pejorative, pool being an example. A pool "hustler" is typically a class-A player who underperforms until there is money on the line, at which point his/her game becomes class-A once again. But anyone who spends time in a pool hall (guilty, guilty, guilty!) has a reasonable sense of how to avoid big money bets that are against players that might be better then them. (Pretty much everyone, using me as a particular example.) But to be honest, I've dropped a small amount of cash (we're talking $5-$10, not life changing money) from time to time to be both schooled and entertained by the skill of some really fine pool players. I've actually gotten lucky and run out a table of 9-ball a couple of times, but less often than leaving my money on the table for the better player (with no regrets.) Thanks as always for the channel and content.

Love the slap reveal on the opener because literally the only trick I do uses it. You would die laughing if you saw how terrible my card technique is, just a hidden card in a fan and a hilariously terrible false shuffle to get the card loaded.
