my little maglite slipped out of the belt holder. Luckily there was a string on it. I drove off and dragged her 7 miles behind the car. it works like the first day

I've always had an obsession with waterproof flashlights and these minimag lights being oring sealed are completely waterproof (to a point of course) if you apply silicone grease to the orings to ensure a seal. I used to go swimming at night with these all the time never had a problem! The only problem I've ever had with them was my own fault putting cheap batteries in them which leaked and corroded them. You should really try out the led version, they are over twice as bright with similar runtime I believe. As well as the led being basically shock proof.

I’m going to order one! Thanks for watching. I never thought about the silicone idea. I’ll try it!

They have had quite a few ked versions out over the years. A 77L, a 127L uhh.. I forgot the rest but they are up to 332L now days.. stupid bright! While I own many of the different ked and incandescent examples I still carry my first led version that is 77.. plenty of light to get 99% of jobs done.. Mines been to hell and back and has the scars to prove it and it works same as the day I bought it (which was in 2012)

I love these lights! I used them daily as well. The real beauty of the larger ones is that you can get LED bulb replacements that makes a battery last forever!

I want to try that! I have a really old 3 D Cell Maglite and I heard of the LED upgrade. I’m going to check into it!

I’d say putting an electrical ignition source in a couple gallons of gas isn’t the smartest idea 😅

It was worth it…. A risk we had to undertake for the science… lol
