MAGMO: MagSafe call recording has never been so safe and easy!

This review started off well. However, ended up leaving out a lot of important information (i.e. how to retrieve recordings, are recordings time stamped, can they be labeled for easy retrieval, actual call recording not shown with another person). Considered purchasing this, not so much anymore. Why would I want to remove the case off of a costly and essential tool?

1) How to retrieve recordings - timestamp 1:36, you have to connect to your PC to retrieve the mp3 files. 2) Files have metadata that includes timestamps when it was recorded. 3) Buy a magsafe compatible case so you can snap Magmo. Respectfully, the questions you have are not "review" based questions, they're how to. It's like me reviewing a bicycle and you have questions how to ride it. Thanks for watching! 🤜🤛

The call records as mp3 inside this device. it captures both your voice and the other person. to access it, use the cable and drag the files from magmo to a pc (like a USB drive).

Only problem I am seeing is that this will not work if you have a phone case it's just upsetting that such a simple application on androids is a hassle on iPhone I run a business and need to record phone calls for afor a multitude of reasons and since I swap to iPhone I have had nothing but problems On my old SamsungIt was a simple $8 a month application that recorded directly to my phone storage no 3rd party required no Internet eitherYeah Apple for the same app is 3 times more and requires a 3rd party outbound call to record a conversation off site right I find this to be just totally ridiculous for a for a Tech billionaire company

It listens to vibrations so the protector or bulky case will definitely affect the performance.

iPhone does not have call recording. I think you need to open voice memo/recorder then use speakers.

That's me recording myself as the "other" person. I called a phone (with magmo). that's the voice of the person you are talking too.

Plenty of devices that do this on AliExpress that are cheaper too, some are simply a 500 hour voice activate voice recorder. I have one that's 32gb and like a keyring. I attached it to a necklace I have and just pop it on and use loud speaker on my phone when using it. It's bare bones and simple, but I like that about it. As for a device like this that works whilst a case is on, I think you can get cases that work with it. A tight & slim silicone one likely carries the noise well enough for devices like this, but it also depends on your phone phone and if you can even find a case you like that has this quality.

@GadgetRevNow I am beginning to consider that Galaxy S22 and S23 SERIES - " NO ( Native ) CALL RECORDER " So the obvious is then to have a reliable external call recording device like the one you review here for iPhone ? Can you recommend something like the magmo for S23 ULTRA ? Because I doubt it has native call recording feature

Cube Recorder for Android works great. Only works with speakerphone but that's fine with me.

Yes unfortunately you have to have the speakerphone turned on as it uses the phone's mic to record. No speaker and it just records your voice. I'm good with that for what I need.

The test was clearly performed while the phone was on speakerphone. If you just are talking on a normal phone call through the earpiece, the other caller is SUPER MUFFLED and will NOT be picked up for transcription. Also, the transcription sucks under the best of circumstances. The app is also super clunky and keeps asking you to connect the Magmo (in three different ways) before it will connect to download to your phone. AND the recordings continue to play outside of the app, like it’s a music track. Super annoying. Not worth the cost. Good idea, piss poor execution.

To export the recording, you need to connect magmo to pc/laptop and grab the recording. you can simply delete files there (again) on pc when its getting full. its like a usb storage too.
