Thank you so much Mr Saemundsson for your masterly 'flying' photography. The higher shots show a little of how far this lava has spread already, and how it is changing the outlines of surrounding hills. Wonderful, just full of wonder.

Incredible! I wish I could give more likes. The geometry of the cone(for the moment) is so clear, plus many of the lava tubes entries are so clear. The lava looks like a living predatory thing , spreading out to look for prey.

Also give some perspective to the front shots on the live streaming, you can see where the rivers are flowing
@RoxnDox3 жыл бұрын
Beautiful footage! It’s interesting to see how the flow has shifted from almost all of going directly into the lava tube, to this timestamp where it is almost all surface flows. Only a few smallish ponds where it appears to feed the tubes. I wonder if it will manifest as a change in what we see down-valley in a day or so?

I thought we were looking at a different volcano all together
@richardyoung30743 жыл бұрын
What date(s) was it filmed? Also can you follow the rivers for longer. The story is more than volcano, but also the filling of the valleys. ie where is the lava going. Cinematography is not just capturing the pretty pictures (which you have done well), but also telling a story.

The flow of lava seems to be steady from what I've found online, it may look like less because it's going into tubes and under crust like you said. The lava is still steadily heading toward the sea and will eventually cross a road somewhere.
@sigisoltau60733 жыл бұрын
Volume has stayed the same. Most of the lava is going into lava tubes.
