I’m learning, apparently I was using it wrong so I may have to re-do a section, but it’s not a huge deal. I just need there to be a sensible couple days where I can take my motorcycle to work and leave the truck in the shop haha. Rain rain and more rain this week

When you get an intercooler, use the 27"X9"X4" 3inch Inlet & Outlet one. The bigger one is overkill and restricts airflow to the radiator and causes a lot of heat soak. I had the same issue and fixed it with the smaller unit

That’s the input I’m looking for!! I do a lot of street driving and don’t want the truck overheating, and IATs will be fine with a smaller intercooler I’d imagine. Thanks man

I guess it's a little late now, but did you consider using Escalade EXT cladding for the rear section of the bed? That may have lined up with the factory tail lights properly, as well as having a section long enough from the wheel well to the bumper so you didn't have to cut and extend it. Very cool build, been waiting for someone to do this for a long time! Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see the final product.

I actually looked up the ext but the tail lights are even more different than the Escalade lights, they angle forward a bunch. The cladding may have worked better though. I appreciate it, it’s something I’ve been wanting to do ever since I saw one on the internet as a kid. These old trucks finally got cheap enough for me to build 🤪

Did you shorten the back of the bed to fit the escalade flares better? haha love it!

Nah I actually cut the tail light section of the bed off so I could weld in the Escalade section and use the taillights. The cladding will fit much better now

I haven’t gotten there yet, but they’re going. A buddy 3D printed me some Desperado badges in the same font and size for the doors. The badges are black so they won’t be flashy like chrome and it’ll just be a little detail most people won’t see

i was looking at swapping my 2003 chevy front clip for an escalade one. this looking dam good how hard was it to change it out.

If an old lady cut you off and beat the front off your Silverado in target parking lot, and you had you replace it with a Silverado front end, it would be the same amount of work to put the Escalade front end on

@@StationroadRatrods well turns out that i hit some ones hitch with my truck. So i got some throw together parts on it now. you know like red fenders bent hood when the rest is the tan color.
