9 Signs of Magnesium Deficiency (and How to Treat it): bit.ly/2sWSUBd
Magnesium is arguably the most important mineral in the body, which is why magnesium deficiency can be such an issue.
According to Norman Shealy, MD, PhD, an American neurosurgeon and a pioneer in pain medicine, “Every known illness is associated with a magnesium deficiency and it’s the missing cure to many diseases.” Not only does magnesium help regulate calcium, potassium and sodium, but it’s essential for cellular health and a critical component of over 300 biochemical functions in the body.
Even glutathione, your body’s most powerful antioxidant that has even been called “the master antioxidant,” requires magnesium for its synthesis. Unfortunately, most people are not aware of this, and millions suffer daily from magnesium deficiency without even knowing it.

Try looking at potassium now 450 mg of magnesium is easy to get 35 to 4500 of potassium is actually hard to get every day calcium is the number one mineral for relaxing the muscle and the mind and the nerve synapse I've been concentrating on eating foods to get my potassium levels up to where they say they should be and I already feel better

Hello Josh! I hope you're having a good day. I just wanted to take a moment to say I love your videos man. I couldn't pay you enough for the valuable knowledge you've given me over the past year. All I have to offer you is some ideas for what they're worth. Could you possibly start doing some videos on pros/cons of both natural and unnatural drugs such as marijuana and perhaps opioids as it seems these are pressing matters in the world that I think the masses would respond to. It would be good to know long term and short term effects and why they're so good or bad. I know you have your own ideas, but I just wanted to contribute for whatever it's worth!

For decades, I was afflicted with an awful case of IBS-C. One day my doctor suggested taking between 1 to 1.5 grams of magnesium oxide daily. Now, I rarely suffer anymore. It's the closest thing to a miracle cure I've ever witnessed. The oxide type is cheap and widely available. The low absorption rate is your friend here because you can fine tune the dosage very precisely until you find that sweet spot between constipation and diarrhea. Occasionally I still have pain, but it's a tiny fraction of what it was and no longer disabling. I'm surprised that IBS-C didn't make the list of warning signs because I definitely had a magnesium deficiency. Not anymore!

I suffer from 3 out of the 8 symptoms listed: sleep deprivation, calf cramps and migraines. I’ve been a chronic migraine sufferer for 2 decades. I’ve tried almost everything(literally). I have been going to a neurologist for the past 3+yrs and I feel like it’s all about which drug will work best to prevent an episode. Not what is missing in my diet or what foods do I need to incorporate into it. I was the one, after researching on my own, that discovered dairy was one of my triggers. To be fair, the specialist did discuss the importance of regular exercise and proper sleep. Other than that I just feel like it’s all about pushing meds. I will definitely try the proper magnesium supplement & foods containing it. Thanks for sharing this vid. I will update and share if your suggestions work 💛

Great coverage on mag. It really is probably the most important mineral in western societies simply because we aren't getting enough of it. If I was to add anything it would be the dangers of consuming a diet high in phytic acid. Which is what the majority of westerners are doing. Phytates block minerals like magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, etc. These antinutrients are abundant when people choose grains and legumes over fruits and tubers for carbohydrate sources. So I would make the switch to eating more fruits and tubers instead of grains, and when you do eat grains make sure they're sprouted. Also the RDA for magnesium is tricky because mag requirements are very individualized. Someone living a high stress lifestyle depletes their magnesium faster then those in a low stress lifestyle, so they will obviously need more.

@@ledang6242 Citrate form seems to be the best for what I started taking it for, along with B6. I'm trying some different forms of magnesium now and I will go back to the Citrate.

Great video ! I like the emphasis on food, and even the supplements should list food as a part of the formula ! Blackstrap molasses and sesame tahini were things I used to eat and they are calcium/magnesium foods. Soil deficiency is a major thing...go organic if you can.

I asked my doctor a few days ago about his thoughts on magnesium. He said “most people aren’t deficient and magnesium can make you have diarrhea.” I definitely got the feeling he didn’t want to discuss it. I know he’s not anti-supplement because he told me I was very deficient in vitamin D so he had me start taking D3. My levels are now in the normal range. Yesterday I bought magnesium glycinate so I will see how it goes. I’m 56 and don’t have any major health issues, I’m not on any prescriptions. I do have trouble sleeping sometimes and if I sit too long, my muscles stiffen up. Lately I’ve had a dull headache above my eyes but it’s possible that’s allergies. I’m hoping the magnesium will make a difference. Doctors are sometimes too quick to write a prescription. No thanks. Too many scary side effects for me.

Yes! Magnesium greatly helped me get through debilitating withdrawals I had after quitting Xanax (after 13 years!). 4 years later I still take magnesium to alleviate anxiety and insomnia. I give it to my husband at night when he's stressed and gripey. Haha

Magnesium is the one supplement I started taking that has helped me so much. I use the spray on (trans dermal) magnesium before bed and it helps my insomnia. It also helps with headaches & menstrual cramps. I spray it on my stomach when I have cramps. You can also spray it on your head if you have a head ache. It is life-changing.
