This explanation is outdated: 1) The idea of revolving electrons doesn't hold water, as according to quantum physics electron is not a particle at all. It is considerd a "probability cloud" 2) Even if one ignores the quantum aspect and agrees to accept it does really exist as a particle revolving around the nucleus, the orientation of even just one electron due to presence of a magnet in the proximity involves assumption of nonmaterial force influencing the electron, "spooky action at distance" Imagining how the magnet influences millions of electrons revolving in various directions to orientate instantaneously in a single direction is really nothing more than a "fairy tale" without any practical purpose other than justifying the applications because it works. The truth is: all structural explanations in science are pure speculations as the atomic structures themselves are speculations.
