Wait a minute!!!!! A company that actually cares about their customers and not just their wallets!!! What a concept! I think I’m gonna have to be a fan.

I think you're doing good service to the T/C community by providing products and information. Someday I'm going to order a barrel from you. I haven't decided on the cartridge caliber. You mentioned the scope screws thinning the chamber walls. How about welding a step base, like a Picatinny rail, on top of the barrel for scope rings. This will not effect the strength of the chamber wall thickness.

Maybe TC will design a much larger frame that will handle those mega magnums in the future and that would be different barrels with much heavier hinge pins and larger lock up devices.

I like your idea.

I think Im gonna have to give you guys a call before I order... thanks for doing all the vids on the Encore. Im surprised theres not more out there.

I've always wondered about the welds on the barrels. Do they make it weaker or brittle and more prone to cracking? Do you anneal the barrels after welding?

Have you guys ever machined a forward action with integral scope mount (rail) and mounting block then threading a barrel onto that to get rid of the screw holes and welds that cause the pressure issues?
@devincook27364 жыл бұрын
The video discussed issues with frame flex killing brass. Stubbing a barrel into a threaded breech block won't make the frame stronger.

Great work WDS and MGM. Frame flex, I have never thought of that. Good info on this. I hope to pick a TC encore, less will be trying out some preferred barrels soon👍 excited to see your channel growth

Thanks Kenny! I appreciate it man, we would love to get you a barrel to try out.

Will this still be an issue now even though they make spacers to fix the headspace?
@mgmbarrels3299 Жыл бұрын
Correcting headspace with shims is not the issue with these cartridges. The real issues comes down to the fact that these cartridges can stretch your frame and or barrel. Once this happens they no longer usable and potential dangerous.

Redesign the barrel to have internal scope bases. Why weld the lugs on? I know TC does that but they don't offer magnum cartridges. They top out at 30/06 or 270 Winchester.

What about the 375 H&H??? Is that safe?

Yes.

I might be old school but why not just the 25 06 ? Never understood 6.5

Can mgm make a 358 norma, or a 358 Shooting Times Alaskan? Would that be too much pressure?
@WesleyLWood5 жыл бұрын
Would a thumb hole stock help with the case stretch by making the forces go straight back instead of a prying action of the pistol grip style stock it would be interesting to see for case longevity. To see if that brought 6 thousands to maybe 5 or 4
@PC-vq5ud5 жыл бұрын
Short answer is absolutely no. The Encore action flexes too much.

Great video guys! Also I got a G2 frame I am wanting to put one of your 224 Valkerie barrels on that is 24" long. Shoot 70 grain bullets out of it. Also was wanting one of the lightest barrels you could turn out for it. Any suggestions?

I have a 338 Winchester magnum in an encore barrel made at the custom shop , should I be worried about it , I have been shooting high velocity loads in it for years ? Oh and how much would it cost for a 338 federal barrel for my encore ?
@MatchGradeMachine4 жыл бұрын
No your 338 should be fine. Load within safe levels. Check our site for an instant quote on a custom 338 federal

How a out the 7m. Remington Magnum. Is it sale the shoot reloads. I should I just shoot factory ammo on ly
@robertgoodrich83895 жыл бұрын
How come you can offer the 6.5 prc, isn’t that case based on a compact magnum case? I was thinking about buying the 6.5 prc, but if it’s too much pressure I’m going to pass.
@MatchGradeMachine4 жыл бұрын
The 300 PRC is MUCH larger than a 6.5 PRC. The 6.5 is safe in an Encore
