Most enjoyable thing is listening to commentators talking down on Gukish.. Especially when he said "Gukish tried to be smart here, he should've kept it simple" Bro if he went with ur plan he wouldn't beat the world champion and maybe he is just commentating on chess matches now 😉

He's just tryna' be superciliously smart, but everyone knows where he stands & where Gukesh stands. Apart from David Howell, no one there sitting on the panel has the ability to predict the moves played by Elite GMs playing in the tournament.

@@zeal7641 you'd be surprised. Even 2000+ players can guess a good chunk of super GM moves without an engine. But what separates the different classes of players is their accuracy in a few critical moments

It is so satisfying to see the turn of events. Also, it is seriously WRONG to think that the win was because Magnus blundered at one last rook move (just by looking at that scale from 2.8 to 7.1). If there was no scale, all will conclude that Gukesh planned to be such aggressive by placing Rook on C1 instead of D1. He took a LOT OF time to think. GMs like him don't think simple anticipation reason quoted by commentator. He knew the then he will be giving two free pawns and get mid game development to Rc7 and took the chance (as a normal book move Rd1 won't win against Carlsen who is superior at endgame). It was a result of series of moves, a perfect strategy beginning from Rc1 (which was criticised a lot by commentators). People will say he should have played Ng6 etc etc but that's biased. A great match, and congrats to Gukesh. Who all agree with me?
