You know how when a player resigns, they just shake hands with the other player without saying anything and walk away because it's understood that they lost? What if two players shook hands like that and walked away, but both of them silently thought that their position was lost? Would that count as both of them resigning? Im tired of Magnus in the championship. This is 16 straight draws we had to sit thru. These guys today are just memorizing engine moves and forgetting the beauty of chess. Bobby Fisher knew how to play. Someone win a damn game with some creativity please.

With little actual pressure from the clock in this classical format and the time they have to prepare for the match. As engines continue to improve can we expect anything else for now / the future of the championship match in the classical format? I feel like the only way to get "real" games is to put them under pressure from the clock / different formats obviously.

Bobby Fischer simply lived different times, when computers didn't exist. Now, no one is risking obviously. At this point Classical is a dead format, and what they need to do is semi-rapid or Fischer.

they should make it that the world champion retains the championship if it is ends in draw after 16 games... will lead to the challenger pushing for sharper positions much more

They are playing for the Championship, of course they will play to the best of their capabilities. If you want your Bobby, go and petition FIDE to ban the use of engine.

@UCeyeHBKaQ6OfDoPp67CDaTg I don't think they prep to move 20. I remember the Kramnik-Leko match where Peter Leko found the queen move OTB, that was around move 25 and it was in Kramnik's prep. Today prep will probably went deeper still

they care more for not losing rather than to win a game that,s the difference between them with the last generation of the greatest players.

Please put the game number at the beginning of the tittle of the video. On the iphone you can’t see very well if you have the most recent game.

Exciting game! It got hot at the end with all these possibilities for checkmates if one makes a less optimal move.

I've got a question with en passant Rule on A5 can white pawn capture B5 to A6 at any time while played or does it have to be captured straight Away in that moment?

It has to occur on the next move.
