I have been so blessed to find your channel! It is a joy to watch, learn, from, and listen to! I live in North Carolina which is in the southeastern United States. It is fascinating that some of your more realistic creations remind me of where I live, particularly the mountainous area of my state. Your talent is amazing, but you also make it seem as if those of us out here could really try and get somewhere with our own attempts. That is so kind and encouraging! I'm a retired elementary school teacher and elementary school librarian and would love to try some very, very simple versions using the techniques I can manage. Your color choices are particularly helpful in finding a place to start. I have one question, if you don't mind. I have been watching other crafters. Some use the makeup style blending brushes. I also watch Jo Rice who exclusively uses Lavinia stencil brushes. I don't have the funds for both types at this point in my life. If you only could buy one style, which would you choose? If you prefer not to answer, I also completely understand. You are just the first person I have found who uses both. I look forward to looking at both your old and new videos! Thank you!😊

To answer your question I would use the make up brushes because they are softer and come in different shapes and sizes which is really useful! They are also gentle when inking over masking fluid. I’m a freelance artist and although I do commissions for Lavinia stamps I’m not tied to using 100% of their products. Having said that their stencil brushes are fabulous quality.
