Mahabharata and Ramayana are fictionalised accounts of historic events. They blend mythology, philosophy and historic events into its narrative. This makes it even more venerable as it captures our culture, traditions and value systems. By no means it’s just a satire or just a science fiction. The beauty of Ramayana and Bhagwan ram’s life lies in the fact that just like Radhakrishnan sir here, it makes us all think what is right , what is dharma…. It is magical when ideas ,thoughts and questions our ancestors had millenniums ago come alive in our own minds..religion let it be play school even, it’s a beautiful gift left to us by the collective love and wisdom of our beloved ancestors..

It needn't be called satire. We don't quite need Western terminology / genre models to accommodate our own genres. The Mahabharata has already identified itself as itihasa. (Ramayana, too.) That's the genre! And itihasa is literarised history. History in story form. It is not "against authority" or against anything. It is about life and existence, and its principles.

We are listening to a low knowledge person who does not know his own existence. If I ask him just a small science like quantum mechanics and quantum entanglement he will not know it. So dull is he. Of coursework can give the answer to all his unawareness but he should acquire at least the basic knowledge of the universe. He has to start from ABC of true science. Ramayanam is considered as a detailed vyakhyaman of Gayathri mantra, and Mahabharatha is a commentary of Mahamrithynjaya mantra.... Emphasis is on the manthras- pls don't be like blind man's thought about elephant!!!!
