Diesel engines are going to be banned in the future since the market is moving towards hybrids and electric vehicles and resale value of diesel cars might also get low, but if suppose the demand for diesel cars increases in the future, it will have reasonable resale value (Eg : S-cross had poor sales during its time period but when the car was discontinued it created a huge demand in the second hand car market)
