As a kind of continuation, there's another soundtrack from this area called "Sorush's Purity", it's a little less than 2 minutes, and absolutely gorgeous

If your wondering, this plays right at the climax and end of the last main quest for Sumeru. We basically learn the sacrifice that was made to protect this area of Sumeru and the neighboring Region Fontaine. The sacrifice was of 3 Goddesses/Maidens, they gave their lives for their people/creations and for life to continue from an apocalyptic cataclysm.

If you're not opposed to short ones, 'Nephrite of Deshret' is amazing. Makes my brain tickle as I try to focus on specific instruments.

Such a great track, running through the area where that song plays as Nahida is a match made in heaven.

idk if its just me, but i relate this song so much to jeht, the feelings the songs transmit to me really brings a picture to my head of the end of a journey where instead of only fulfillment you find sadness, as jeht did getting to the oasis and reading her mothers journal.

Something a little bit sad and dreary in vourukasha oasis the ethereal home of the pari? Nonsense! There is definitely no dead body of the late first hydro archon tucked away somewhere in the heart of the oasis

As I recall, this song is "good triumphs over evil" (or something like that) version of "The Caress of Three Mothers". After you banish the "evil" (I guess), you are teleported to the main zone of this region and this starts playing. This theme already sounded good on the piano, this piece takes it to a whole other level.

I honestly really really LOOOOOVE this OST. This was part of their OST disc entitled "The Unfathomable Sand Dunes - Disc 1: Sandstorm Remembrances" and Maidens of Sanctity is no.3 on the list. I highly highlyyyyy hope you can listen to no1 and no2 on their tracklist entitled "Sorush's Purity" and "Resonance of Khvarena" and maybe even no.4 and no.5 "The Caress of Three Mothers" and "Where Simurgh Rests" because they're in the same wavelenght (if not, the same music theme) as Maidens of Sanctity. Thank you for the insights in this video!

I've been watching your genshin music reactions here and there because I enjoy how the music captures your attention from a raw, overall appealing composition standpoint, but the way you deconstruct that one dissonant note that permeates an otherwise serene and peaceful song with its tinge of sadness is the kind of pull that I'm so happy to see the genshin soundtrack manage to bring out of people with a particularly musical ear. Amazing analysis and reaction!

So happy that you enjoyed this song as much as I do! By the way there’s a non vocal, piano lead version of this song titled “caress of three mothers.” When I first heard it I froze and had to just listen to it the whole way through. It’s one of the few songs that actually had me tear up from just the music alone, and while I’m not trained at all it moved me to take out my electric piano just to try to learn it

I'm not 100% if you haven't listened to it already, but another great feeling one which is pretty short is called Ruu's melody. It's extremely heartwarming and bittersweet. its actually a lot like this song.

Two goddesses gather to sing, to praise the sacrifice of one goddess who sacrificed it all…..

I cannot go to this area quickly or thoughtlessly. I have to listen to the whole song, and I have to stand still and soulfully hum along. It is Pari law. A hint of the minor key fits so well, too. It's a sea of flowers that bloomed from sacrifice and strife, and the entire thing is basically a seal on a portal to the underworld trying to re-emerge. The voices are probably a hint to the three goddesses involved, one of which died here and had part of her preserved to maintain the seal. There should be a little unease :P It's so cool to see you pick apart exactly why it does what it does!!

Another song added to my playlist. Even though I have no understanding of music theory, it's fun to see you rambling on about a little chord dissonance. Honestly, makes me appreciate the song more, so thank you for the insight. Next time I play it, I have a story to tell to my friends about why I love it so much.

Maybe it would have made your nerding easier if you'd known there was a non-vocal version of the theme, which is called "The Caress of Three Mothers". I think it uses a lyre and a piano. I don't really understand the special note you talk about but I suppose this one has it too. I personally like the non-vocal one better but I don't really know why.

Hope you listen to "Benevolence Bequeathed" for a similar albeit eerie vibe. Then go next to "Surasthana Fantasia" for a fresh atmosphere, then "For Riddles, For Wonders" as well for the mellowed-down version (this one made a lot of players cry in-game *spoiler*), all are from Genshin's Sumeru OST like Her Wishes and Maiden of Sanctity!

I love the enthusiasm in your reactions and your interpretations. Definitely looking forward to more! I haven’t gotten to the area where this song plays yet, but hearing it for the first time made me appreciate the desert soundtrack more. Totally unrelated, but have you ever listened to the NieR soundtrack? Those games have beautiful music. Two of my favorites would be ‘Vague Hope’ and ‘Kainé Salvation’.
