Spoilers: That one review, for those who didn’t catch it themselves, is referring to a part during the psychic test where Lee is briefly shown an inverted triangle and gives the associated word ‘Father.’ Longlegs’ murder dates are done specifically to be drawn together as an inverted triangle, often a symbol in occult rituals With the revelation Longlegs had been living under her childhood home for years and she was partially controlled by one of the dolls herself, it’s interesting she’s have that subconscious response to the image.

SPOILER TALK: "With the revelation Longlegs had been living under her childhood home for years" Ahhh, I think you just cleared up something that left me slightly puzzled when I saw this last month at the cinema (loved it btw). I did wonder at the scene where 'Lee' wakes up just before getting that phone call to go to her bosses' daughter's birthday party? I remember thinking "Hang on? Isn't that Longlegs' lair/workshop?' Nice one, Yung! 😉
@adamluther58362 ай бұрын
So the question becomes, are we to assume Longlegs was in fact her biological father all along, or simply a subconscious stand-in (Mr. Downstairs) for the Devil instead?
@stevethomas742 ай бұрын
@@adamluther5836 My guess is that I don't think he was her father, only from that scene where he's shown ready to kill Lee's mother? But then she is spared so she can carry carry out the plans of turning up at people's houses with the prepared doll for each child etc. Unless I missed something here? I've only seen it the once and I'll definitely be getting a hold of that at some point.
@adamluther58362 ай бұрын
@@stevethomas74 Really hard to say, the movie seems to deliberately never mention Lee's father in any way. I sort of thought the whole birthday on the 14th was meant to circle back directly to Lee, and the fact her mom made a deal to spare Lee, only for them to have a doll in their own house that whole time anyways? Just kinda feels like an odd loose end?
