Two comments... First, ditto on the fiber optics install video. I saw one video about this system on another channel, and would really like to see how they work out in practice. Secondly, LokSound V5 decoders paired with Scale Sound Systems speakers are the "ne plus ultra" of model railroading acoustics - the ultimate in authentic sound. Nothing sounds better.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, the v5 with those speakers is a game changer. And the speakers are reasonably priced.

Looking forward to watching your fiber optic signal lighting installs, and the DCC enabled upgrades to that red box Atlas are going to be great. You're fortunate to have people so close to you that can do that.

Definitely lucky that Don lives near by. He’s a master modeler and a great guy. Hoping to have the DCC video up this weekend.

I had a friend install Scale Sound speakers to my Lok v5 locos. And with the LokSound v5 firmware 5.9.159 update, you can adjust bass and treble. You're gonna love it.

I use the ISE trackside sensors and cut out the cork and lay them down so they point upward between the ties (better if 1 tie is removed). In this application only the wires are under the sub roadbed.

Good idea. I’ll see if I can get the under track ones first.
