I am on the spectrum and can not tell the difference between a well developed teen and a person in their twenties. Until someone starts to get wrinkles from age they could be anywhere from just post pubescent to middle aged without me knowing. I haven’t let it get me in to trouble but when I was dating (or trying to) it was something I really worried about and I basically just didn’t talk to women unless I was somewhere where I could trust they had to be 18 or over to get in.

My family visited Washington DC for a vacation once. I must have been like five years old, and my little brother was a toddler at the time and still in a stroller that my mom was pushing around. We had to take a metro, I don't really remember where, but I remember my mom being really nice and letting everyone else onto the train before us. Once everyone else was on, my mom started to go in, still pushing my brother's stroller, and the train door closed on the stroller. That was the first time I heard my mom curse, and to this day, I've probably heard her say less than ten curse words in my entire life. My mom was yelling for someone to come help her, but everyone on board the train (the same people she so graciously let on before her) were just staring at her, not doing anything. She somehow managed to free my brother's stroller herself before the train left. We ended up having to take the next train, but that could have gone so much worse. My mom, visibly teed off at what happened, told my brother and I that the lesson here was not to be nice to people. This was clearly a heat of the moment thing, but I guess it really serves as an example that in certain situations, you're better off prioritizing your own needs before catering to those of others- something I'm not usually good at doing, to be honest. Word of advice for anyone reading this: Don't set yourself on fire to keep others warm.

While driving home from my steady job, in my fully-paid-off new car, to my paid-off home, I noticed the local homeless man sitting against a wall. This was in Arizona and it was about 115°. So at home, I gathered up some water bottles and various snacks into a shopping back and drove back. When I got his attention, he threw rocks at me, and called me a pig. His face was pure hatred and anger. I set the bag down and quickly backed away. He threw the bag over the wall and sat back down.

Taking my sister and her friends to her friend's place on the freeway in heavy traffic. The car in front of me was a well disguised ghost car, and I didn't like the way it was being driven. I said 'That's a cop car, snd he's hunting somebody.' I started to try to get into the carpool lane despite the fact that our exit was soon-ish, and because of this the friends started squawking. No sooner than the lane change did the reds and blues come on. My sister is a bro and said: 'Yeah, hes got a third eye thing going on sometimes.' They were quiet for the rest of the drive.

Mom and I are just in the gate walking under the archways and a guy walks past me and harshly coughs, practically in my face 😭 I turn to her and say “ope, and that’s Covid.” I unfortunately proved myself right a few days later and was down and out for the rest of the trip and they both followed shortly after.

My worst red flag was when I worked at Wal-Mart up north. After having a super traumatic breakup with an ex who then stalked me for months afterward. (yes this is the guy who demanded I pay him back for all the things he had giving me when we were friends (before I started dating him) and reimburse him for the date I called off early as he wouldn't stop touching me inappropriately thru out) I was asked by the shy awkward guy at our store on a date. I said yes worse mistake in my life. We went out for a small dinner, movie and an arcade. He didn't stop crying the entire time I thought he had a grandparent die but refused to cancel the date. Nope apparently I was the eighth girl he had asked on a date that week and I was the only one that said yes..... I gave a "nice guy" a chance he was upset he got the size 10, 6ft red hair from the garden department and not the size 8, 5 ft 3 in girl from the jewelry department who told him to f off and when asked for another date. I told him to f off

I have twin girls, and they looked Exactly alike when they were born. ( They are not identical). But, they are like night and day. One is outspoken, the other is calm and quiet. One has blonde hair, the other brown. When they were little, they asked which one was older,. I told them it didn't matter , because they had to still deal with each other for 18 yrs. Lol ... They would tell me all of the time "she's picking on me, same w/ other one". Today is their bday and they are nineteen. They no longer pick on each other, so I tell them who's seven mins older. This should be interesting. Lol

The thing about giving people a chance even if there's red flags. I agree...to a point. If your gut is telling you "nononono," particularly in a "something about this person doesn't feel safe" kind of way, that IS a good reason to just drop and run. I'm all for making allowances for people being awkward and maybe saying something stupid, particularly early on. But if something feels wrong on a deeper level, if your gut is telling you to run, then don't feel like you owe this person a chance.

Citizens! When on a first date, remember that even people who arent crazy are often blind to their own faults. Usually harmless, but when someone says "I'm not judgemental," what they often mean is "I'm judgemental, but know its wrong." People often describe themselves the way they WANT to be, not who they are! Trust your instincts, but be flexible? Just a thought!

43:27 worked in Japan as an English too and sadly yeah there’s one too many stories of foreigner men (some women too) creeping on the underage students, in a few cases grooming them too. Though it’s not to say Japanese teachers aren’t guilt-free either, it really doesn’t help the optics. And Japan tends to sweep things under the rug if no one with a backbone will step up to do the right thing, so harassment happens more often than it should.

I work with a pair of identical twins. I'm bad with names as is, and the only way to tell them apart is one has a star shaped scar on his nose. When the second one started, the other one had worked with me for a few months already, and no one told me what was happening, and with the scar on his face, and looking just slightly healthier then his brother, I thought it was just uncanny valley for two straight days. Their constantly making jokes, but I've really only seen one wierd moment, when one got locked out, and the other death stared the door and his brother suddenly walked over to let him in

My "Called it" moment was watching Saw IX: Spiral. I called the newbie detective who was teamed up with Chris Rock's tough cop character as the latest copycat Jigsaw murderer from one scene - the scene where a guy (setup to make you think was the newbie) was being skinned alive, which absolutely went against the ideals of the original Jigsaw, John Kramer. They made it so obvious and, really, IX was the worst in the serious despite having Samuel L. Jackson in it.

Not a twin but my sister and I look extremely similar and have been mistaken for twins multiple times it’s honestly frustrating because we tend to be lumped together on stuff so if one of us does something bad, it’s assumed the other also does it too(my sister primarily doing the bad shit and being just terrible) My parents have gotten better at mentally separating the two of us but it’s still frustrating especially because we are extremely different people personality and interest wise

my ex-wife is a twin. One day, just to upset the ex-sister-inlaw I pointed out she was a twin and I know what she looks like nude. She turn RED and went home, my wife found out what I said later that day. Advice female twins don't like it when you point that out. Now what made that real funny and not nasty is she told her husband and made him have a word with me about it, so he did. We worked out the twins even like the same things at spicy time.

I’ve had way too many guys not want to go on a second date after the first one and the first time meeting because there was no “spark”. Most in their 30s. Like yeah no duh there will be no spark after talking for one hour with a person you just met. And these were all guys that were very aware I want an emotional connection before a sexual one. I’m sure women do it as well. I’ll never understand. 😂 probably the same people who get upset when the spark dies in a relationship ship after the honeymoon phase.

I was having a good week, more money than I had ever had (only like $3,000 lol) I grew up poor, still struggle but make it somehow. I was in line to pay a traffic/speeding ticket, a mother and daughter were at the counter crying at the municipal court because they could pay their daughters 75$ ticket she got in school, feeling for the mom because of the way I grew up, I worked through my public anxiety (long line, in a college town, Lubbock, Texas.) to then just silently walk away from the teller that was processing my ticket, sliding the last 130$ in my wallet to the mother, smile, and walk back to my teller, shaking with anxiety because I just made myself visible in public, the mother hurries and pays the ticket, catches me outside and asks if there’s anything she can do or if I want my change back, I say no keep your change, if you have the chance, pay it forward, and sign my truck. I had a 1995 f150 with black matte paint that my friends and I used as what we call the “chalk truck”, people in town loved it, anyways, she signed her name, we said our goodbyes, and I always wonder how the daughter turned out in life, and if their family is doing well.

I (16 F) used to date a girl (16) and her uncle lived next to my dad. After dating her for about a week, she stared to become a damn psychopath. When i went to Disney, we rode rise of the resistance twice. While we were in the queue for the second ride, the ride was stopped. Now, for context, rise of the resistance has one of Disneys most impressive, expensive animatronics, a figure of Kylo Ren. Figures like these are high maintenance, and because of that, they sometimes break down. To avoid having to close the ride completely, Disney has a "B mode" for important animatronics, normally a screen that can pop down to show the character with something to cover the animatronic that's out of order. For rise, this B mode is rubble covering Klyo and a digital replacement on one of the screens. So, i told my mom, "they're putting Kylo in B mode." She found it hilarious that i was so sure of myself. When the ride got started up, guess what. Kylo was in B mode.

When my sister was pregnant with my second nephew our dog,German Sheperd/Rottie mix, would not leave her alone. We were sitting outside one day and our dog was sitting on my sister's feet. When we came inside she jumped on the couch and put her head on my sister's stomach. I had a scare a few months prior and at first she did the same to me but stopped a few days before I bought a test and it was negative. My sister? She yelled when the dog did that and I said,"Maybe you're pregnant." She went to her OBGYN the next day and found out she was pregnant. When she found out she was shocked that I pieced together our dog's pattern. I Told her,"Sasha, our dog's name, did this when you were pregnant with you older child and she did it to me til the test was negative. She hasn't left you alone at all." So,our dog became known as "the K-9 pregnancy test."

I can see a teacher ending up with a student. In the Netherlands at least. A highschool teacher can graduate at the age of 21 or 20 in exceptional cases, while a student might be 18 or even 19. Still an issue for professional borders but it does make more sense. More info: Dutch highschools have 3 levels of education. The students at the middle level graduate at 17, 16 if they skipped a year. To become a high school teacher you need to do a 4y bachelor. Students at the highest level graduate at 18 normally or 19 if they were late bloomers and had to take a year twice at some point. Oh and the student wouldn't be in the teachers class. You need to do a post graduate course before you can teach higher years.

My first sign was when she didn't even show up to the first date, despite saying the plan was still on no more than 2 hours prior. Joke's on her though, I tried something new at the restaurant that I liked, and even got it for free

In the effing cold it's stories, I can do something similar to the song identifying person. If it's a Christian band, I can usually guess the group within a second, the song by the end of the first phrase.

21:32 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 king-size laugh (I'd say queen-size, that's bigger. But(t) somehow i can't see that situation happening so easily among girls. They'd probably at least be less loud about it; and quite possibly living in environments further from main-stream than these 2 guys)

Not exactly 1st date but definitely a red flag. Me: White Male. Him: White Male. My first BF would always talk about how much they LOVED African American men. We went out for almost a year (I'm intelligent but NOT smart) before I realized I was NOT what he was looking for. Found someone later that loves me for me and we have been together for almost 30 years now. We don't always agree 100% but that is just relationship spice.

One time my bf and I were watching a cop show where they solve deaths/murders. A girl went into a lake, my bf predicted she'd flail and drown, I predicted she'd just *bloop* down into the water and drown. I was right. I guessed it cause she had a team swimsuit on, passed swim trophys otw out, they lived next to a lake, and her dad said "Going to swim again, eh?" so theres no fkin way she's bout to flail drown lol

Re: White people are always trying to help someone. Racism is more complex than you'd think. It's true that white saviorism is a thing and very much contributes to the problem, specifically white people feeling the need to help people of color under the idea of other ethnicities being inferior and weak. ***But I severely doubt that was the case in that story.*** I may be remembering wrong because ADHD memory problems but I don't even recall the OP saying what race that woman was or if they even did. She was just trying to pick a fight.

You have no clue how close you were with the Star wars. Adams was not supposed to direct that movie..He was only suppose to take care of episode 7 leave the Notts and ideas to the next director and be done. However, the director for episode 8 saw the notes and idea, decided he didn't want to do anything it, threw them out and went with his own ideas. But after Epiaode 8, the original director for episode 9 walked because he just saw the movie and went "Nopp. Can't work with this trashfire" payed the fines for breaking his contract and donated the money he already been payed to charity. He did not want anything to do with Star wars after Episode 8. JJ Adams had to struggle to get a script and story together for the next movie.

Biggest red flag from my side as well cuz I'm a dude, I dated a girl who was on her phone non-fucking stop. She was constantly on Instagram, on Facebook, on Snapchat, we would be in the car together and that's all she would be doing. It pissed me off so fucking much because I could not have a conversation with this girl without her doing something on social media. Not only that but this girl was so desperate for every other one's approval other than myself. Other than the guy she's dating. To be frankly I don't know if this is a red flag unless you're a nerd but a red flag is don't pretend to know something you clearly don't. And don't pretend to act like you heard about something when in reality you don't know anything about. I went on a date with this girl when time but it just kept pissing me off that she would say I know what that is oh I know about that I know that I know that but she really didn't. And it annoyed the living shit out of me and frankly I felt like it was more of a pity date for her versus me because let's be honest this girl was not that good looking and I think she let me take her out because she was looking for a guy. So yeah I would say frankly don't be on your phone non-stop I don't care if you have social but if you're addicted to social media you need to relax. Don't act like a know-it-all but don't also act like you know a thing when you realistically don't eat.

Don’t twin shame. If they want to be copies of each other. Let them. They technically are anyway. Some twins they love being identical. Some likes being very different. Don’t call them weird because they love to be identical.

Basically a lot of the issue i keep hearing is peolle being rude. Theres a whole ass difference in being confident, honest, forthcoming, stern, etc. And just being disrespectful and rude and apparently the inability to decipher which is which is more of a peoblem amongst the general population than i ever couldve imagined a d honestly the vibe is its getting worse as we speak.

I think it would be appropriate,if you were to give a warning regarding the first story ,the beating to death of a child,is not what one would expect to read about, when you are discussing dating, thanks.
