I was also one of the girls who was on the other side and being told I was too god for my ex. That relationship was hell. I had super low self esteem thanks to a lot of years of bullying and bad relationship, so I thought I didn't deserve better. I made him a better person in public towards "our" friends (they only talk to me now). He even blamed me when I was sexually assaulted. And during covid he was one of those that didn't get sent home while I was forced to being home. It would have been better the other way around, but somehow managed to blame me for him having to meet up at work physically, because it was so unfair I got stay home all the time. So when I got a job as a covid tester he was also mad at me, because I suddenly wasnt home all the time. After a half year of that, he wanted to take a break (something he did a lot of he didn't like my behavior aka me having a job where there are other men). Thankfully I finally grew a backbone and dumped him after realising how much happier I was without him. His mom and dad speak to him a little but not much, because out of all their in laws the liked me the best. I was only one helping clearing away dishes, went clothes shopping with the mom and raised her self esteem and so on. Now he is pissed I moved on with the love of my life, lost weight and generally being happy. Because if he was the one who had dumped me, we would have been back together but since I was the one who dumped him we would never get back together because I'm stubborn (his words). My parents as a reward for me finally dumping his stupid ass, paid for my security deposit for my now old place and gave me their old car that I had fixed up

Honestly, the whole victimhood mentality too many people have is from social media. People are victimized for real once and realize how good it feels to get sympathy like that, and thus they become more and more desperate for that hit. Perpetual victims on social media are just like heroin addicts. They've gotten hooked on something that addictive, and need to go to further and further extremes as the same dose just never cuts it a second time.

Mainly Facts Guy, I'm happy you exist. I too, as we all have, have had a rough up coming, and the last few years have not been very nice. But, listening to these stories and your commentary is very eye opening. Knowing that I'm not the only one out there who's suffering with these problems definitely gives me the strength to carry on. It is a cruel / beautiful world and I will gladly suffer through what life has to offer me to enjoy the beauties of what else is out there. Thank you.

I was one of the kids that almost completely changed over break. I came back after thanksgiving and winter break incredibly depressed last year. Just a few weeks after I got back from winter break, I got out into partial hospitalization. It was just a really difficult time for me the rest of the year. I couldn't even play in orchestra because of how stressed I was. I think I barely passed my classes. And now after summer break, I'm doing much better.

They thought I was too good for him. He was great. We got along great. we wanted the same future. he was thousands of times smarter than they thought. They were the reason we broke up(instead of trying to make it work). They think they were right and scolded him for not being husband material. He was, and still is. I just dont want to be the one to drag him away from his parent's influence in order for him to finally realise that hed be happier if he stopped trying to be the old fashioned man of the house theyre trying to force him to be. He likes small arts and crafts. He likes doing housework. He doesnt realize rhat he likes to cook a little bit. He WANTS to be a house husband(we couldn't afford that yet). He's a lovely and sappy man and im perfectly opposite to all those things, since I was raised to be an Independent and hardworking woman on a farm. We were great together, but i wish his parents would have just stayed iutnof our damned relationship.

The cp kid is a sociopath. He does not feel emotions he does not feel love or hate or anyting he just mimics people so he can look normal. And that has nothing to do with this parents it's not their fault at all. People with that kind of a problem and he was remorseless and cold he's definitely a sociopath and that's all on him and his brain

The most common causes of sociopathy are abuse and trauma. Maybe in this particular case it wasn’t parenting that was the issue but not all sociopaths are just born that way

Also, I did have someone who technically stalked me in 8th grade. I want to say her name was Andrea. She followed me everywhere (we shared math and English class together, and later honor roll). She tried to follow me into the band room (I was for a while a very talented brass instrument 🎺 player), in social studies, even in track practice. She wasn’t unattractive in terms of looks, but it seemingly being a mix between a game and obsession freaked me out. I also 1. Had the hots like a few other classmates for my 8th grade science teacher (a woman in her early 20s who was very attractive, but she as already engaged to her student teacher boyfriend), and 2. I truly found a potential young woman who I felt could be my future wife. Her name was Maritsa. She was intelligent, funny, was built like an Amazon (she was already 5’11, 6’0 entering high school while I was between 5’6 and 5’8), was compassionate (especially being a young and stupid punk as an early teen), and also played an instrument (clarinet). Just before I met my first girlfriend, J decides to consider a class field trip to a bowling 🎳 alley a date. I more just wanted to not do schoolwork and thought “Okay, what the heck. Let’s see how this goes.” The entire time I felt very uncomfortable 😳. Her trying to hug me every time I bowled (I’m terrible at bowling. I’ve only had 3 games where I’ve bowled over 100, with my highest score being 128). Her friends kept egging her and I on to kiss in spite of the fact that there were teachers 👩‍🏫 that would’ve immediately got me kicked out an in trouble. Also, this wasn’t a financially stable middle school, and my parents at the time didn’t have much money, so I maybe got a few bucks for the 2 games and for a snack or a soda. I hadn’t eaten much that day cause I was sick the night before but was considered well enough to go to school (more minor food poisoning than sick). She wants me to get her pizza 🍕. I nearly knock her over running to the bathroom to 🤮. Lastly, when she tried to sit next to me on the school bus back to school, the kind beauty that became my girlfriend already sat beside me and said “Sorry Andrea, but this is my man!” I was worried that a cat fight was going to start cause things were tense for moments. Finally, a female teacher came by and said “I don’t know why anyone wants to be near a guy who just got sick at the bowling alley, but since someone is already seated there, go find another seat. We need to get back to the school.” When we got back to the school, but before the school day ended, I said “Thank you. I was already uncomfortable and she was making it worse.” She accepted my thanks and then when I told her she looked like an Amazon (I told her the reason I said that was Amazonian ladies were physical specimens/beauties who were fierce warriors and were intelligent), she said she wanted to give me a kiss. I said “Please on the cheeks. I don’t have mouthwash.” This infuriated Andrea. She tried to fight Maritsa again, but Maritsa was both taller and more athletic, so pretty much Andrea was stuck in a headlock for a few minutes (which I found glorious) before a random teacher walked in the area and things were broken up. I decided to go to my girlfriends choice for high school (instead of the one Andrea had planned on me going to, so we could take all our classes together for the next four years). Never heard from Andrea since and had a four year relationship with the best girlfriend I’ve ever had (in fact, if I was more mature, I could’ve seen us as husband and wife at 20 before she died at the age of 17 in a car accident).
