Hearing about the Bank Heist just makes me want to find one and get some people together to do it cosplaying as the Payday gang, or just have a joke picture of clearing it out with all the money in like 10mins with the employees as "hostages" and the crew with a circular saw and drill.

I used to work in an escape room and I have to say that sometimes the lack of common sense people had for some of the most basic puzzles was soul crushing. One specific example was a group that had found a key and was trying to figure out where it went. There were two doors in the room, one to get out, and one that was a closet with a puzzle inside. While trying to figure out what the key went to, one person held it in one hand and looked at it while they rested their other hand on the handle to the closet door. Still took them another minute to figure it out.

I also have the escape room sadness where it will never be as good as i've heard. A friend of mine has gone to one in Germany that is completely Harry Potter themed and was basically a whole alley dedicated to Diagon Alley. Sounded super cool.

There was a room my family did at the Escape Old Towne in Petersburg, VA. The goal of the room was to find a double-agent/spy in a casino before enemy back-up arrived in an hour. We had about 12 ID cards with possible aliases and occupations by the time we hit the 30 minute mark with two of them instantly sticking out to me. One of them was with a Russian name and had an occupation involving nuclear science; the other was a Middle Eastern name with a pretty similar science occupation. Now, the trick was, we had a card lock that would open the door to our escape. Swipe three wrong cards, and an alarm would sound signaling a game over, so we couldn't just swipe all of cards at random. After we hit the final quarter mark we were getting nowhere with our clues, but didn't want to use a hint as it would deduct minutes (we already used our three free ones), so my mind went, "Knowing how they would usually go about aliases and occupations in spy movies, it would probably be the Russian guy." so I took the card and swiped it before anyone could say anything, and the door to our escape opened. We had 10 minutes remaining.

When I did my first escape room they said “nothing you need will be under furniture, don’t try to pull things off the walls if they move they are part of the puzzle if they don’t move when you try opening/pulling a little then it is not part of the puzzle”

Went to an escape room where they told us 'ignore anything with yellow striped tape, don't put anything in the outlets' first thing when we walk into the room, I look up and see a key on the ceiling on a pipe with yellow striped tape. So I thought it wasn't part of the escape room and ignored it. Then we had to climb under a desk at one point and PULL on a cord attached to an outlet to open a secret door. Following the instructions to not fuck with outlets, I climb under the desk and don't end up finding the secret door because I followed the rule not to fuck with the outlets. Missed half the puzzles in the room by following the directions. Worst escape room ever, I wish they gave me my money back. Would have solved it quickly without the shitty advice.

I once was doing an escape room and there was a tic-tac-toe puzzle where you had to flip the switches to match the tic-tac-toe boards you’d find around the room Well we were down to one left and my ADHD brain kicked in and got distracted while playing with the switches and somehow magically got the order right. The game master at the end said my “accident” saved us a ton of time because it let us skip finding the combination to unlock a padlock connected to a valve that was supposed to give us the clue to that tic-tac-toe solution. I still laugh when I think about it🤭

The way you pronounce Muslim is the popular way English speakers pronounce it but it’s not correct. It’s supposed to be a soft S not a strong one, meaning it’s an S sound not a Z sound.
