Basically, what happened with the Vikdroid was, Jayce likely sensed or noticed it during his mid-argument with Mel. You can even see it jump from the blast a bit before impact. And a little Devil's Advocate, Jayce is still shaken up from the events of the wild rune, so he's mostly just lashing out at Mel. He already prioritised Viktor, then apologised to and encouraged Mel afterwards anyway, kinda confirming for me that he probably wouldn't have cared if he didn't go through that madness in episode 7.

Yeah I predicted that he may lash out at Mel bc he is so close to her and knows she wouldn't leave him for it. It's a bad habit most of us have. My delulu shipper heart still hopes that they'll find their way back to each other some day, some how after they've dealt with their respective responsibilities

Skye was totally Viktor's humanity and is now gone. One of the writers confirmed this was the idea behind this. I am hoping we'll have more series in the universe, including one that tells the story of how the feud between the black rose and Ambessa started. Mel is a total badass, I second the spinoff hope!

liked hearing your thoughts on Mel and Ambessa's relationship. I'm with you, would love to see Singe get punished for what he's done to everyone. i loved the twenty one pilots song 'The Line' that played at the end, made Vander's memories being erased and Viktor's evolution feel even more tragic. Arcane always chooses such incredible musicians to elevate the story.

I like your interpretations and theories on Ambessa's intentions. I play league, and all of the lore they included about her from story to voice lines, she values her family over all else. I think she didn't covet Mel merely as a weapon - having a powerful mage on your side is nice but first and foremost it's her daughter and she does love Mel. I understand that her feud with the black rose involves avenging Kino. But even with Mel offering to go she believed that it wouldn't be enough to defeat them. I'm not sure but it seems that she was just consumed by the desire for revenge that she went so far in her actions. It's a shame. But all these implications wrap up nicely in the finale.

Thanks so much! And I agree. Ambessa is complex as we all are; I don't doubt her love for her family, but her desire for revenge, power and control sadly clouded her judgment in her relationships

Ambessa's desire for the Undying Army wasn't just about having said army but was specifically to fight mages. Everything she's done has been a desperate attempt to find something, anything, she can use to fight the Black Rose. It's a mirror of Silco's obsession with using Shimmer as a way to hurt Topside regardless of what it cost his own people.
