Majorette restoration Saab Turbo no 284 toy model cast.

The Saab Turbo is a very successful model from the French company Majorette, which was built like many other 200 series models between 1982 and 1988. My copy - judging by the colour scheme - was built in 1985. It was complete, however, it had a casting in very poor condition due to the white tarnish that damages Zamak. I had to clean and protect the entire bodywork very thoroughly to prevent this defect from developing further. Majorette cardboard boxes did exist in real life, but this model was packed in blister packs. I thank you for watching the video, I publish car repair videos on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I love SAAB Very interesting cars. I got to drive a Turbo many years ago. A manager at work was selling it dark grey mettalic and a carbon fibre look dashboard. I wish I bought it..Sob..lovely resto love the blue with yellow tint windows..TURBO! 😊

A remarkable restoration! Suspension wires, axels, and a superlative paint job!! A new paint-dabber for wheels!! Hopefully easier than the brush or coarse Molotow Marker tip.(Is that fuzz-ball tip made of steel wool or something!?) I would always cut the ridiculous towing hitches off these sports cars. They never would have one, and always are completely ugly and out of scale. I guess sweating the scale model aspect gives way to "a kid playing with a 'toy'! 😅❤

a lot of those had the tow hooks, like Matchbox put them on everything including sports cars... the plastic part was meant to help the trailer stay on the hook, they often break off or lose tension. all the better to play with. ;)

Saab 900 Combi Coupe (3- and 5-door) had red rear lights. The metallic blue paint, which you used is a little darker than genuine paint used in model years 1979 and 1980. Another fitting choice could be metallic green, in same year models. The 900 Turbo had a different mask than regular 900 in year 1979, it was changed to the same in both versions during next year. Congratulations from Finland, which had a Saab-factory in Uusikaupunki, in west coast. Old generation (1979 - 1992) Saab 900 Turbo is a potentially good car even to-day!

piękna restauracja, szkoda tylko, że niezbyt dokładna.. klosze lamp przednich i tylnich zachodziły na boki wystarczyło to pomalować (przednie to nawet mają wygrawerowane klosze w karoserii), spojler powinien być czarny i, jeśli to model sprzed 1986, to powinien mieć więcej chromowanych detali (klamki, ramki okien, itp) ale to zrzędzenia właściciela krokodyla, podziwiam sprawność manualną Autora i pasję 😊
